I have paused uploading for the past month ... I'm on the cliff about doing macro for 2017 so I'm shooting but not uploading anything. It is hard for me to commit but the spammers and junk are winning.

I assume many will be off for the holiday though...

Was asking myself the same question. I uploaded few photos today anyway....

It is very hard to resist the urge to upload!

With new images not seemingly getting much exposure anyway I'll be uploading as usual.

Well seems they are tinkering with this silly search yet again and this time its going from bad to worse to terrible. Any uploads there until after new-year and they will just fade away never to see the light.

Conclusion?  well when a buyer over the weekend PM me about a picture he wants to buy and now he cant find it on page two on Friday where he saw it and I myself start looking for it and finally find it on page fourteen. I presume something has happened? Saturday that was.

Files change position all the time.

People in the Americas, Europe, Australia and New Zealand will be mostly off between now and Jan. 3rd.  Since most of my sales seem to be in those countries I will do some processing but probably won't bother uploading again until next year.  Happy holidays everyone!

Because everything changes randomly (search, new images missing and other technical problems) I just stopped caring about these things, and I upload my new files as soon as they are ready.

I don't think I can influence anything with choosing the right time to upload. So might not be the best strategy saleswise, but for sure it is good for my mental health (not stressing too much about it).

Surprisingly I had some sales of the new files I uploaded these days.. So I guess you can never be sure about who buys what and when. My 2012 calendar sells even now, so it is really beyond me to understand buyers.

personally i sell only new content and this month is not going bad...saturday had a 24 el unexpected today is slow but my portfolio is not very seasonal so for me uploading is a no brain. micro stock is about quantity. for quality if i were a buyer i will look somewhere else...like offset and stocks for micro or aurora or other for macro.
personally i don't understand all these mental masturbation.
personally i have a big backlog i'am cleaning and i want do it so fast in case ss change their uploadd policy and back to 25 a week:))...
i'm not uploading bad files , my acceptance is in the least month much more than 80&% and i upload travel and editorial mostly.
today very slow but why not uploading? it cost nothing.

I have a backlog of over 3000 assets ready to be uploaded, so I'm not wasting any of my time by not uploading during the holidays.

If I don't upload a bunch of files every day I cannot eat and I cannot sleep

No one can predict when it's best to upload, because if a buyer can't see something, it will never sell. When they are ready, upload for review, that's the best time. That simple. I always wonder why some people think there's some trick behind hard work? You're right and so are the rest who say the same. When a file is ready, put it in front of the buyers.

If the potential buyer out there is happy spending Xmas hols and relaxing, eating and being merry, on the average they are not likely to think work and buy images.
Also I deserve some time off uploading stock ☺ and for me the best time in the year is about now...
Happy holidays everyone !
