for many months, my photos have been approved at shutterstock within 24 hours.

then recently, SS rejected a batch of about 100 photos claiming they were out of focus (they were not). these photos were part of 400, sent to them in random order, and the other 300 were accepted already and are selling.

after that day, SS is no longer approving my photos within 24 hours.

any ideas or comments?

I was wondering if others have had a slowdown in their approval times recently or if it is just me.

thanks

For many months Shutterstock has accepted any image, good or bad, because they wanted to reach the 100 000 000 images on sale on their site.
Probably now they have decided to review again the images "correctly" - I mean with a lot of inconsistent rejection reasons

I've actually had a rejection or two, so it's not like IS where everything except legal troubles will pass.

SS is too busy accepting 1 million images a week now, they can't keep up. Some day the people sending these in will figure out it's a waste of time and effort for little money and things will slow again. By then it will be too late.

1,000,000 new images a week? Now wonder our sales are down. But at that many I can't say reviews have slowed down. There are more now then before.
