last few batches have been approved same day, also DT & FT.  Wondering if they all took on people to cater for ex IS exclusives and the situation has now steadied?

I think a very quick approval is not good, I think that the images down too quickly with so much traffic

I always have to wait a lot of time (days) for vectors, three or four more time than for photos.
On Fotolia vectors are aproved in minutes [!]

Submitted a couple of photos 11/24 & sold on 11/25 so seems they are very quick despite the volume - hadn't checked on approval time but when I do remember to check back most are reviewed within 24 hours and sometimes even faster.

Uncommon photos staying on the first page of "new" search longer but common pix like New Years themes approved and sold within 24 hours don't show in the first few pages of new photos a day later or even hours later - so I agree that's the downside of such fast approval (a point Roberto brought up in 2013).

I had some new ones sell without any keywords being used - would that be a FB sale do you think? Are those regular sub sales?

I had illustrations (jpegs not vectors) and photos in same batch approved together - with vectors do you upload two files? Maybe that's the delay?

Thanks for answers. I'm surprised - they reviewed batch today after 19 hours, wow! (I didn't upload anything for a very long time).

Another surprise is the word "background" is gone from my keywords (and some other words too). Anybody knows what's going on here? No more "background" in texture files?

I noticed in my new files it looks like two-word phrases were gone too - maybe they're changing things but not sure what. "Background" is a key search term in my background texture files so removing it would be bad. I thought that I'd left "background" out of one of my new files and went back in and added it after, so maybe they're taking it out and you have to put it back in?

Thought the same and did for 2 files but no, it doesn't make any sense. I thought maybe I misunderstand the meaning of "background" keyword? But then, why do they have the category: backgrounds/textures?

I know - it makes no sense since it's a keyword that is heavily used - but maybe some people are spamming it so it comes out? I don't get it either. Guess I should check out the ss discussions.

And another surprise today - 1 (one) hour and images are accepted, wow!

Had a batch accepted within half an hour yesterday. Not many people uploading I suppose. Some say uploading at this time of year is BAD - but I still believe that what overrides when.

Two uploads today, two results today. I am not worrying any longer about upload timing. I am just going to push content whenever I have it.

TWO minutes.  I almost uploaded it again because I thought they "lost" it somehow.  Good thing I checked my "approved" bin first.

Had a 5 minute review today.  On the other side of things...SS app keeps crashing on my iPhone.

I wouldn't say it's so bad as I already sell new files, it started imidiately yay! :) For me xmas and last day of year is not worse than any weekend.

Yes within 60 minutes. Very, very odd. I'm used to seeing my vectors sit there for days. I can barely keep up  ;)

obviously no one is working, since the last two weeks of the year is christmas/new year vacation time.
sort of makes me wonder why anyone would want to submit work during this time when there is not much traffic. no one is looking for images.
i would wait till the new year is over, at least mid jan 2015 before uploading anything. but hell who listens 2 me anyway :D

Sure fewer people are buying as well as uploading, but I nabbed almost instant sales on 2 images I uploaded Jan 1st.    That will help tremendously in their placement in searches - maybe they will catch some momentum.

I don't see a downside to uploading during the holidays, really.   I figure with less uploads flooding in, my images have a chance to be seen in the "new" searches the way the old SS used to work.

I personally don't agree with your statement. I want my images in my inventory ready to sell when January 5th (Monday) kicks into full sales mode. Right now I can get the images in time but if I wait until mid January they will be among the masses waiting several days to be approved.
