I have noticed that uploading new files on Thursday and Friday is a bad idea. The submissions will get reviewed and put into the search database just in time for the weekend slow down. So by Monday your files won't be fresh and at the top of the search results. (Newest first, the default)
Last weekend I uploaded late Saturday night but they didn't get reviewed until late Monday. Going to try Saturday at about noon this weekend. It's a science I tell ya!

Never thought of it this way --- just uploaded some and got approved late yesterday (Friday) so I'll keep this in mind for my next round... did just sell one of the new ones so someone's shopping on Saturday.

I find it easier to upload at the weekend especially eps files with their JPEG during the week it can be very frustrating when the server is overloaded one file usually gets lost.
Of course at SS they review all JPGs or vectors in your queue all once.

I try not to upload on a Thurs or Friday either if I can help it. It's definitely better to have files approved first thing on a Monday morning instead.

OK, well I uploaded too late. They were approved early this morning (monday morning) which means they won't be in the database until Tuesday. Still better than on a weekend, but I wanted to start April with a real bang. ;)
So from what I can see, if you want your images to be fresh on Monday, upload Friday night.

That is provided that approval rates are as you think....sometimes approval can take up to 5 days....oh well...

On Shutterstock I don't think I've ever had it longer than 48 hours. If you submit Friday night you should be set. As long as they get reviewed some time Sunday. So instead of going out on Friday make sure you stay home and upload your files. ;)

It's been my personal experience that I have the best luck uploading images only
on days that end with "Y". Anytime I don't do this, they never get approved.
Call me superstitious but I will continue with this practice since it has worked very well in the past.

Yea I just upload whenever now. It doesn't really matter. The keywords come online at different times so it could take more than 2 days from acceptance for your image to be fully online. And the reviewing lately has been a couple of hours instead of 1-2 days.

I was really surprised. I uploaded some images midnight UK time friday night, and they were up and accepted by 7am when I got up saturday morning.
