Title: blocked account to shutterstock
Post by: grtina on March 07, 2012, 06:49
Two months ago  blocked me the account on shutterstock.
I responded to what they questioned.
Today is canceled my account.

I am also see many pictures from other contributors which have the same design as I. I understand that it is a problem for microstock, but same theme or design files is not copy.
Many images from contributors is similar but not copy files it, but handmade and original images.
Even not showed me original photos.
at least I want to start again.

I'm sorry, my English is not good
Thank you for answers

It's difficult to have an opinion on this issue unless we can see your portfolio. Is it available to view anywhere?

Please only make one thread for a given topic.  I removed your other (identical) thread.

Yes totally pointless posting without links to the files.
(although there will be the usual people who jump to conclusions about who's in the wrong with no evidence)

I'll jump to this conclusion that I'd be interested in seeing what specific "designs" were the cause. It may help some other people here avoid the same fate.

Maybe grtina can link to them on some other agency that hasn't banned people for using this type of design and you vector people can see what it is. (my guess is vectors again?)

I have porfolio only to shutterstock.
They did not send me original image.
That's the problem - They blocked my accound and do not see original image.

That's okay, just post a link to the image elsewhere, you can watermark it

Don't hold your breath waiting for compelling evidence of the 'injustice'.

On other photobank I have only 3d render images and on shutterstock I have only vectror format.
From shutterstock they not send me original images, which I had copies.
I have nothing to compare.

Sorry for my English

Can you post a link to the image or images in question and tell us what the source material was?

What did SS tell you when they suspended the account, before they closed it?

Here's a free hosting site for images, if that helps.    http://postimage.org/ (http://postimage.org/)

Yeah I'm not really, no matter how many times this happens I still hold out a hope and try to be fair, but realistically every time there has been a legitimate grievance the OP has started by laying all their cards on the table with links and evidence.
