Today me and my friends can't login to shutterstock accounts. And also when I open to portfolio links 404 not found error happens. When I tried to use forget password it showed account suspended message. Don't know why my account suspended also I haven't get any email about that. My friends say that they got suspended too. Anybody knows the reason ???
-
Anyone has the same issue ?
-
No.
Have you sent email to support to ask for a reason?
Given that you and friends were all suspended, can you think of anything the group of you might have done - like buying each other's images - that could have been behind the suspension?
It's possible that there was some sort of software glitch or mistake, but asking here won't get you answers - only Shutterstock contributor support can help you.
-
Might be a world wide thing. YOuTube is having issues. Twitter is acting strange today as well.
-
No, we haven't do buying each other's photo or something else. Yeah I wrote email and asked for a reason, but they haven't responded.

When something like this happens to a specific group of people it is almost always related. Copying or using somebody else's content in your uploads is the most common reason they do this for but there could be anything really... There was one case years ago I heard where two vector contributors who happened to be friends did nothing really wrong in my opinion. One of them asked for help from the other because there was some issue with her Paypal address (Shutter's site didn't want to accept it for some reason they were not aware of) and the other told her that she should write to admins or support and ask for help, but in the meantime also offered that she should try using the Paypal address the helping friend was using, so she could have her money while the admins figure out what the problem was. So that's what they did which resulted in two accounts with the same Paypal address. They didn't know that it's against the rules of the site. So when the admins checked the email and tried to figure out what was going on they suspended both of them because they were suspicious that the same one person is behind two accounts. End of story, none of them could ever get their accounts back despite several explaining emails.

This is nightmare for every contributors. Time and time again we heard things like this. I really hope Shutterstock can have a better way of dealing with such matter. I almost felt that they always suspend first before communicating with the contributors.

In just about every instance of contributors reporting something like this, it always comes out in the end that yes, something was done, maybe unknowingly on said contributors part, maybe not, that was against the site’s rules. Hence the closing of accounts. I have been with shutterstock since 2004 and have never had any such problems. But with the way the site has gone downhill, it’s possible they have messed something up. It will be interesting to hear what happened.

According to Wikipedia, "... at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia."
... but see also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Europe (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Europe)
According to worldatlas.com, "Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, all located just northeast of Turkey, are at times associated with the Middle East, Europe, Asia, or as their own separate region."
