I am in the industry for 5 years and still didn't get how ss pays me every sale with different amount.
When i started submitting to ss i saw the list of royalties and it says 23.70$ per hd clip.
95% of my sales are not this amount.
Every time its 20.3 or 19.7 or something like this.
I never understood how they calculate my sales.
And last week i had one sale of hd clip and i got 96$!!!
Its not that I complain but i really dont get the system.
Can someone explain how it works?
Because when i asked ss this question they didnt gave me any answer.

I would be surprized if anyone knows for sure. I've been there for 10.7 Years.

The 20.3 and all that...due to exchange rates for non us sales. I assume that the 96 is a 4K sale.

The answer is in this topic: http://www.microstockgroup.com/shutterstock-com/low-comissions/
It seems like the lower payment is due to the fact that your clip is downloaded by non-US source. When the clip is downloaded from a non-US source, the sales conversion to US dollar may cause a lower payment due to the the exchange rate from the origin of sale.

The funny is that the 96$ is hd file.
How . they sell something with 79$ and give me 96$?

They have corporate deals for video too. I have had a few big sales like that.
