I believe that SS is very much aware about the situation, but this is getting worst.
Wonder how will you protect your content.

This need to be shuterstock's number one priority. I wish shareholders would read this forum, then maybe Shutterstock would take some notice of how their product is being devalued.

Well they're never going to care about whether it damages us. As a business they should/ do care that it damages them by devaluing what they are selling. If I was a share holder I would certainly care.

I would say, contributors that don't read the SS forums don't care about their products either.
There is a long thread (https://forums.submit.shutterstock.com/topic/91181-stealing-ss-images-big-time/) about this over there and SS says it was taken care of the matter.

haha! you can send as many links as you wish they dont care one bit. I have pointed out this around 4 times and not even a reply NADA! Oh yes I did get one reply telling me how they constantly try to improve the site so obviously they didnt even understand the message.
Since the old staff left or got thrown out and the beancounters moved in they hardly ever reply to any messages and I doubt very much they ever pop in here to have a read. Its not like in the old professional days when they helped out. Nowadays all they have is a modest little forum moderator who seems afraid of everything.

Thanks for the update. I hope SS take some strict actions against such website.
Though the system is still not entirely clean.
Websites like fiverr are welcoming such illegal doings.

Just the article is still there, the downloader mentioned is blocked (see the last page on SS thread).
There is nothing to do about Quora, they do nothing wrong from a legal point of view. Some call this freedom of speech, even when it hurts us.
If you read their About page, you will see that they are proud having "people (authors) you can't meet elsewhere." They also protect the anonymity of their authors.
More than that, "the Wayback Machine was banned entirely from crawling Quora." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quora (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quora))

I think he was using one of the many methods mentioned on SS thread. Those are now blocked, well most of them. He could also be a crook that doesn't deliver what he is promising.
Anyway, new methods will be created if SS doesn't secure the collection somehow.

So they are back and now they sell our images for Bitcoins.
I wonder if this is true, how many buyers have or would spend bitcoins on stock images?

Shutterdowner(dot)com is still online, working and distributing our work free.
Through a Google search you will also find a character MrZaghar who advertises this stealware on Facebook. Stealing copyrighted work is criminal activity. If you are on Facebook, report this guy on Facebook to have his post removed.
Email Shutterstock. We need to have this sick site offline, fast.

You guys just keep posting links to the stealing sites. You are only helping the problem! If you are going to post links, do it like ravens did above, with words only, so it's not actually a link that gets indexed. If you are quoting with the link, change the link! Yikes.

Right thinking. Also the problem is that as soon as they take down one site or plug one loophole, the crooks are finding and using another. Just makes me wonder how many of the little sites are Swiss cheese and that's where most of the stolen images come from on the free sites? I won't upload to anything but major top four sites anymore. We already found DP selling out the back door on another site they owned.
