SS's contributor tools are primitive (that's being kind). When you have a big portfolio, the big problem is finding the batch.
The other thing I had once thought of was zapping old images that hadn't been downloaded much and weren't up to snuff technically. From the batch interface (where you can delete it) you can't see how many downloads it has had. From the slow as molasses interface where you sort your portfolio by downloads, you can't delete them. I just decided not to bother after struggling with it a bit.
Another contributor recently posted here about SS support very quickly deleting images and her account when she contacted them, so they will do it for you if it's needed.
