Just so you know all the micro stock sites are members.

"The DMLA membership ranks, which currently includes industry leaders Shutterstock, Getty Image, Alamy, Pond5, Stocksy, Adobe Stock as well as many small and midsize companies, will now account for more than 90% of North American image, video and media licensing. We are delighted to be joining forces with DMLA from 2020 onward. ACSIL represents some of the largest and most respected names in moving imagery and with so many archives and agencies now offering stills and footage, it is the perfect time to come together to create one complete organization to promote and safeguard the interests of all content creators. said Ed Whitley, President of ACSIL & Bridgeman Images North America."

I think they are a lobbying group for the agencies. So they will be lobbying for us to have less rights/ money rather than being willing to help I think!

EDIT: Their VP works for SS their legal guy for Getty

EDIT 2: just fell into a rabbit hole looking at their members. Anyone heard of microstocksolutions? looks like the provide services to SS, Getty, Pond, Storyblocks and more. Their core business seems to be managing asset libraries and keyword searches. Interesting.

You can search for images on the DMLA site. A search for Christmas gives you this (for whatever reason Getty/iStock and Shutterstock don't seem to be included):

so, for licensing there can be association, but for us contributors there are none only because we are not organized.
