Shutterstock contributors,
Are you happy with existing payment options?
Do you want extra options?
How about Payoneer?

Im perfectly satisfied with PayPal and Skill,  but I know there are some people who like payoneer.  Seems like a reasonable option for SS to offer it.

There is a 6 year old thread on SS, requesting Payoneer, its 15 pages long with +1s. I dont think SS is ever going to implement it.

For contributor out of U.S.,
PayPal is so costly due to high commission rates and does not pay USD.  They have low currency exchange rates.
Skrill is painful and getting worse since October for bank withdrawals. Missing transfers on the way, returned incomplete withdrawals, unexpected and inconsistent additional commissions every time such as correspondent bank expenses etc.
Additional payment options is a must for SS, because it doesn't matter how well you sell unless you get the money!

Yes, I do. Getting cheques is costly and inconvenient.
(PS - not sure what the distinction between "no" and "don't care" is - are there some people who would actively oppose an additional payment option being introduced?)

YEEEEEEEESSSS! I am waiting a long time for this. So far payoneer is simply the easiest, cheapest and best for me.

All those "pay by email" services like Paypal are totally useless for me. Not available at all in this country, limits in the other ones, you are only allowed to transfer more than 6,77 because we feel like it today, we need the birth certificate of the stepson of your fathers third sister because of some EU regulations we just made up, your account is limited because we think you logged in using the wrong keyboard, your account is blocked because you donated to a site with the wrong political opinion, and we are sooo sorry but neverever touch  a site which shows tits because we are so scared by them blablalbalbalblalbabab I`m tired of it.

YES PLEASE, WELCOME PAYONEER TO SHUTTERSTOCK!

Even if just today I have been victim of an attempted fraud by someone going by a Singaporean company. They tried to withdraw all the money that was in my account.

I just I became aware when I try to pay the bill at the restaurant where I was eating with my family and the transaction was rejected.

Luckily we had already been several times in the same establishment and the manager did not create bigger problems. I had to return and pay cash.

The on-line interface of Payoneer not allowed else than block my account and my card. There was no way to block only the transaction (fraud attempt)!

Now I had to submit to is a dispute! And hope that the Payoneer take the necessary measures to solve my problem.

I'm on vacation with my family on another continent (Latin America, not Asia) and was counting on my Payoneer card!

I feel with my hands tied!

I still have to pay US12.95 for a new card and another $ 60 for them to send me new card by DHL before my holidays finish. But first of all I do have to send this ammount  (U$ 12.95 + U$60) to Payoneer ,to be able to receive a new card!

As my bank is in Germany and as today is Sunday, it would be a complicated process.

Yet unfortunately the Payoneer is the best option, it is fast and the convertion rates on Paypal are abusive. I always lose money converting dollars to Euros:

WELCOME PAYONEER TO SHUTTERSTOCK!

SHAME ON YOU PAYONEER! YOU MUST IMPROVE YOUR SYSTEM TO BETTER HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS.

There is not one financial institution in the world that converts dollars to euros for free. Not that I know of.

I'm sorry, but this seems a pointless exercise.  What does a vote mean?  It's only the Yes votes that matter, since those suggest unhappiness with existing options.  I'm perfectly happy with PayPal, so my opinion should carry no weight.  Better to set up a petition and let Shutterstock management see that there are a lot of suppliers who need another payment option.  Assuming such suppliers exist, and assuming Payoneer will satisfy them.

I always lose money converting dollars to Euros:

There is not one financial institution in the world that converts dollars to euros for free. Not that I know of.

The conversions rates  was not the point!

The point is (at least) the lack of security in payoneer system.

Today I got this email from PAYONEER:

Please note that there is no option to prevent a specific merchant from making a charge on your card.  On 05/04/2014, your Payoneer card was blocked on our system to prevent any future unauthorized transactions. In blocking your card, all additional features to transfer funds out of your Payoneer Account were also be temporarily disabled.

An outstanding authorization is when a merchant places a hold on a certain amount of funds on your card to verify that you have sufficient funds to pay for the transaction.

Since the transaction was in pre-autorization status, the merchant was able to complete the charge even though the card was blocked.

In other words Payoneer does not care about the account holder. They blocked my card and disabled additional features to transfer funds out of my Payoneer Account , but not the fraud

This  is unbelieved and outrageous!

I sent all information in time, a feel moments after I detected the fraud attempt. I alerted Payoneer and 48 hours latter they come to tell me this ?

This is a huge lack of security in the  Payoneer System and disrespect to the account .

Shame on Payoneer and on companies that do not  provide any better alternative to pay contributor royalties.

Anyone here in the group has gone through similar situation and managed to get your money back?

This seems to be normal and not a Payoneer issue. 10 years or more ago I was on a "freebie" airline-paid-for trip to Germany staying for a week at a 5-star Berlin hotel.  On arrival the hotel took a note of my credit card "in case there are any extras".  When I went to use the card the next day I discovered the hotel had put a $10,000 block on it, which busted the credit limit. That was a bank-issued Visa card. It seems that any "merchant" who feels like it and gets your details can do whatever they like to your account.

From which I conclude the problem is with Visa and Mastercard and the entire credit card system, not with Payoneer which is just issuing cards on behalf of Mastercard..

it would be great if SS implements payoneer service, since skrill starts to rip off skin with commercial accounts

I insist: PLEASE BRING PAYONEER TO SHUTTERSTOCK!

I am totally fed up with those costly and inefficient "pay by email" solutions. You guys can move to the Empire State building, so it cannot be that it is too much of an effort to add another payout option for us.

Paypal would not vanish as a option. Payoneer would just be added for those who have trouble or moral concerns working with paypal (or skrill).

BTW: Germans may be affected too. It happened to me while living there. They made it various times to the german TV because of their dubious "behavior":

And getting cheques works for me, albeit it costs me something like $20 to cash them.

I didn't vote since the voting is now closed but I'd vote YES.
Not because I plan to use it soon, but because it's better to have more options than less.

Yes, exactly. I am really happy for the people who have a working solution for now. Many do not.
But I do not get the people who vote _against_ an additional option. They can stick with whatever they like. Nobody is voting to remove whatever option. It is like telling a lactose intolerant person to stop looking for Soy milk: "Hey, I am happy with normal milk! You should get used to! Nothing is perfect and they shouldn`t sell soy milk..." lol
