I am part of the Shutterstock-Bigstock bridge and I would not put it past SS to leverage BigStock photos to sell to customers when they can't find certain content on Shutterstock. For some of us, our content that was on SS is still available on Bigstock. I just requested my whopping $48 and will be closing my Bigstock account next. I simply would not put it past SS to pull in images from that collection to supplement the missing content from SS's collection.
Just a heads up on the potential.

I closed my Big Stock account years ago because of poor sales. In some ways I regret doing it because Dreamstime and Deposit Photos (who I now contribute images to) also have low numbers.
Shutterstock probably regard the present activism against them as a minor inconvenience and will remain worth uploading to because of the number of sales they generate. I'm currently on an Shutterstock RPD (for June 2020) of $0.413. I can live with this because it's a hobby and not my main source of income.

Sigh now Bigstock earns more per download than shitterstock (27 cents compared to 10 cents).
I don't see shitterstocks logic why not make all their platforms BS & SS have the same price system.
But heyho maybe I expected too much from a gang that obviously don't think too well :D

I closed my BS account when they changed from 50c to 25c, and told us, if we got 50,000 in a year, we'd get a raise. BS has always paid less than SS, since SS bought them. But no I wasn't one of the bridge people.
