Title: Editorial credentials are slow
Post by: r1talin on March 08, 2017, 05:22
Hi all,

i shot 99% editorial for shutterstock which is 90% of my income in microstock.
I now have 500 images online of a few champions league, other soccer, tennis and beach volleyball online. And earn a solid 100 usd per month.
But since i shoot like 5 sporting events each weekend i figured why not send loads more. Since the 100 bucks is stable for 3yrs now. so also for older content its huge.

Anyhow. I send my credentials of past events friday but still have not received replies.
Who shoots editorial as well. and since i apply with the same yearly press card every week why not give me allowance to send all events of 2017?

I am working with politics Editorial photos, and only press credentials they ask for are for footage. So maybe you could try just to send photos and see if they are going to be accepted, or wait for the answer from them...

got my sport photos rejected due to need of credentials.

send 3 mails to [email protected] also send emails to support@ and submit@ to inform about this issue. but not one reply.
First mail dates back to 6 March, so 10 days without reply. While they promise a 48h response in week days.

People on Shutterstock's twitter account say they cant help, and the customer support on the phone can also not help.
This is insane!

Beyond your question completely but do you also submit to Alamy Live News?

For me the credentials response from SS is around 3-4days. I shoot sports as well and I submit always with a case number just to be sure.
