I've been getting plenty of ODs and ELs on SS in the past six weeks - anyone else seeing this?

Like I said in this thread http://www.microstockgroup.com/shutterstock-com/shutterstock-on-demand/

On demand is great since a couple of months. Though not much EL's for me

Lots of OD's and increased EL's.  I still don't understand why SS and FT can sell lots of EL's but the other sites don't sell many.  istock should have lots more EL's.

I've had more EL's since December of last year that in the entire 3 years preceding.
OD's are on a steady increase every month as well.

Yes exactly the same here.  It makes a huge difference to earnings.

I have sold both EL and OD today. Never has anything like that happened before! I hope it will go on...  ;D

I have been getting 3 ELs a month for the last three months. I already have 3 ELs for March... maybe I'll get a few more this month :)  Denis

I usually get one EL a month at SS...maybe every other month, but that is still a lot more than other sites and at $28 too.

I have definitely seen an increase in both, and an increase in EL's on Fotolia and Dreamstime as well.

Ditto that, though its been 8 days since my last EL so I hope the run hasn't come to an end. On demand sales seem to be steady lately if not a bit down.

Like some others above, I'm seeing an increase in ELs and ODs. This month I already have 2 ELs. Last month I had 2 or 3 in a single day. Life's good  :D

I had 4 EL's just yesterday. They are getting more and more frequent. They always seem to be some obscure file that has not seen a download in months, rather that my best-sellers.

Same here. Nice to see them pop up on the screen whilst I bask in the sunshine on hol's __ it certainly beats working for a living!

OD downloads have been 41% of my total sales this month. Best ever. :)

Even though my new uploads are largely being ignored, my RPD has been going up each month thanks to OD's while my actual number of DL's are going down.  EL's almost stopped for me after the last price adjustment, but they seem to be back to the old norm in 09.  It seems that OD sales are making up about 25% of my monthly $ now and looking at the last 2 months, only one was a new photo, most were from 07 or 08.  Subs buyers moving to on demand or a shift in client base?

I hardly got any EL in the previous 6-8 months, but I got a few in February; and I got a few just yesterday.

OD is not too bad for me, but not spectacular, and quite steady in the last few months.

This is looking very strange. Why did so many people have EL sales yesterday? (March 16)  I had two, different photos but the same subject (industrial equipment). It seems too many people had the same thing happen on the same day to make it coincidence.

Any theories? New big, EL-only buyer subscribed? Buyer doing a big project? Hmm....

Mine were of factories. Maybe someone doing a big project about industry?

Mine yesterday was agriculture - not sure if that is industrial but on DT that is under the industry category.

Hey, Sharply started this thread - maybe he won the lotto and is trying to make us all feel good?  Thanks dude.

I had an EL on March 11, a detail of a nose wheel of a commercial airliner. I never expected the shot (a) to be accepted and (b) to sell, let alone an EL. What was the nature of your EL?
