Title: Finally get referral and nothing shows up :(

I got an email from someone just now telling me that this morning he signed up to shutterstock via my link (which is a referral link)

Nothing shows on my page that the person is my referral.

Anyone know why, does the person have to get accepted first or something or do they update there system every 24hrs maybe so will see it then?

Is annoying lol

You don't get referral money by somebody just signing up. If so, everybody could sign up with a faked account. You get money when the person buys or sells something of course. If it's a photographer, you will have to wait till he gets accepted and makes his first sales.

I know that but you have a section where you can see a list of your referred photographers and mine doesnt have anyone on there so im guessing they have signed up but it hasnt counted my referral.

I got a similar email from someone 2 days ago. They told me they signed up through my referral link. However, Shutterstock is still supposed to approve their ID adn that takes 24 to 48 hours. I am also waiting for the referral to appear in my list so let's see...

Maybe itīs spam if both of you got this mail. I never got an email about any of my goldcalves signing in ( I think)...  Was there any weird links about weird stuff in it:)

No its not i spoke to the person today as he was asking info about the site

No, it wasn't spam in my case either. The same person already signed up for Fotolia through me. Too bad Fotolia doesn't pay for referral photographers anymore :)

more likely yes. hopefully anyway
