Hello. I'm new in this forum and in microstock too. Today I've reached fist payment from SS, after 3 months and a half, and now having 171 pics. The payment will be only next month I think, since I reached the 75$ today. Happy about it but concerned about the way I made it. Now having 85 $, with two ELs. So my normal dlds are really poor. I don't know if it's good or bad, and want to ask about  your opinion. I have only photos, not vectors, and I'm a begginer in photography, having a DSLR for less then a year. Thank you.
PS: I've opened another topic on newbie, then I saw that it will be seen only by the people with less than 50 posts. As I want the reply of those with more experience, I opened another here. Please delete the first, cause I don't find how to delete it. Thank you

Maybe your photos are the sort of thing that will only sell occasionally, but to buyers who really want them and will pay a few bucks.  Unless you produce blockbuster mass-market images (many of which are frankly absolute cliches), the money at SS will be in the ELs and ODs.  2 ELs in your first couple of months is not bad.

Can we see your portfolio to see what images they are? :)

well as a fellow newbie you're doing better than me. I have @100 in my port (more on other sites) and just edging towards my first payout, coming up to 6 months now. I sell images on SS every day though, so I keep nagging myself to shoot more and increase the port, so I can be selling more every day.

My luck was with this two ELs, other way I would be very far from payment. And I don't sell every day on SS  :(

Congrats.  Keep shooting and uploading.  Diversify. Specialize. Do it all.  You'll need it in this day and age to survive in MS.
