Title: first single image download!
Post by: mtilghma on March 14, 2012, 15:54
Don't know if it means it's no longer in trial mode (probably not).  I'm also aware of the fact that mody people are not likely to care... but whatever.  It was a nice surprise.  I searched for threads and couldnt find one devoted to this, so anyone else is feel free to chip in if they want... if not, I don't care :)

I find it really surprising you got the first one, I'd say you're getting a lot more of those than me, since I'm sure you sell a lot more (ELs too if I remember correctly).

Congrats!

Ha!  I don't know your stats but I doubt I'm selling a lot more than you on SS, ELs or otherwise.  I'm relatively new there and have seen, and continue to see, steady growth (apart from the rate at which I'm adding images)... you know, like you always see when you start at a new site.

I've only sold 2 ELs to date (joined june last year or so... my join date on SS is my first time joining, but then cancelled and went exclusive on IS, and have been adding images slowly because I didnt have them IPTC'ed... argh I blame IS for that).

That being said, I take it as a compliment :)

And it was meant as a compliment;)

Yes you're right I'm obviously at least getting more ELs, got 3 yesterday for instance. Then I guess you were talking about your ELs at IS or I must have confused you with someone else, however I immediately connect your nick with your work and having a ratio of files:DLs well over 1:25 says it all. I'm sure it won't be long until your sales will reach the level they deserve ;)

Anyone else notice .38 commissions starting to show up in the Single and Other Downloads column?  Had a few today... I think that's a first for me.  I've been getting a nice amount of the 5.70 sales lately, so I was surprised to see some .38 sales show up in that column.  Are there some pricing shifts going on?

That sounds disturbing. I haven't seen that.

Oh this is typical SS. We get free money and they didn't take it back. Nice Going! And they also explained what happened. Gotta love these people?

Dear All,

During some routine testing in the past few days, a small number of downloads made from an internal test account generated .25c - 38c royalties that appeared in the “single image” column of your earnings report. These downloads were not actual customer licenses.

You will keep the earnings for those downloads. We greatly apologize for any confusion.

Yes, I'm becoming a loyal SS robot, more every day.  ;)

Hmmmmm... would that be called "contributor" marketing?   ;D

Now, I'm angry because I didn't get the "free money".   :-\

I wouldn't mind if they routinely tested my account if it works well with SODs and even ELs. Though my account works great with the latter lately, you can never be too sure ;)
