...anyone else having this problem? The browser seems start getting responses from the site, but than it just hangs, and I get a "504 Gateway Time-out"
-
The same here. :(
-
Same here, both customer and contributor sites are down. But http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com (http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com) says that it's only me ;)
-
Down for me too.
-
Here too, and isitdownrightnow.com says it's down for everyone.
-
I wonder what their corporate offices look like when the site goes down? I imagine sirens, flashing red lights and people running around manning the battle stations. I would guess there are very few people in the NY office right now, though.
-
Down for me too, SS forum as well.
-
Down for me too in UK.
-
Maybe will be this week accepted only 650k new files and not 800k. :-X
-
Customer site is back now.
-

I guess those don't wait for anything to load, just an initial response.
-
Contributor site is back too, but very slow.

I hope they do panic a bit, customers get annoyed by things like this literally in seconds. I find it a bit curious why this would happen & go on for so long in 2015. A stock site like this isn't a particularly complicated thing to run by today's standards.
-
It was back, now gone again.
Guess I'll be spending my time today on other sites.
-
At least market leaders like SS should check the servers status before working day starts. I am afraid they will also lose many potential clients due to this breakdown. >:(
-
13:38 UK time - '502 Bad Gateway'

Down for me, then up, then down. I'm sure they are on it.

submit.shutterstock.com Back up in Munich
-
back down in Milan!
-
Maybe the site crashed due to the huge influx of new images. Marijuana guy tried uploading his collection of crack cocaine photos.
-
It's back
-
how much will cost an hour of shut down? to shutterstock business

They may be playing ping pong or sipping on their moccha frappachinos

I picture it more like ping pong paddles being dropped and video games paused, segways and hoverboards swirling through the halls to converge on a conference room with a Starbucks popup barista and company masseuse calming nerves. Hopefully someone logs off Facebook and emails the tech team in India between vape hits, so us suppliers can get back to making our 30%.
-
I'm not even going to say anything.
-
I think the influx of marijuana photos have made everybody really hungry at SS H/O and they've left for lunch and dinner.
-
The guy who does the pot photos is uploading what he shot over the weekend. That ties up the servers for a while.

LOL! Yeah, that's what I envision too.

Here's a note from Vincent posted on the SS forum:
"We are experiencing a partial site outage to both Customer & Contributor sites and access is limited.
Our tech team is working on regaining access for everyone soon.
Our apologies for the inconvenience."
Looks like it comes and goes randomly. Hope they get it fixed shortly.
