Starting this month, we are modifying our payment calculation timing, but this will not affect when you receive your royalty payment from Shutterstock. In line with our continuous efforts to improve the quality and accuracy of this process, instead of resetting accrued earnings at midnight on the 1st of each calendar month we will be doing so at midnight on the 3rd. Here is a summary of how these changes will impact you:

For those who meet the minimum payout threshold, unpaid earnings wont reset at midnight on the 1st but instead will reset at midnight on the 3rd of the month.
Only the amounts that accumulated up to the end of the prior month will be paid out (minus any applicable tax withholdings).
In the first 48 hours of a new month, the unpaid earnings will reflect the amount that is to be paid out, plus any earnings accrued in that 48 hour period before Shutterstock processes payout calculations.
Once calculations are kicked off on the 3rd of each month, accrued earnings will be reset to 0 (or to the amount that has accumulated in the first 48 hours).

The way I understand this basically nothing changes? For me my earning were never reset to 0 on the 1st. It was always a few days later. I think they now just made it "official".

I don't understand it either. My accrued earnings absolutely reset to 0 on the 1st of the month.  There is no payment shown as having been processed, which I would expect, but there's nothing showing it's in process either.  I tried to email help , but help is now from other Shutterstock contributors, not Shutterstock employees, and all they could do was just paste the info below.

LOL, haven't even got that email, not to mention my meager earnings, the July payment message OR LAST MONTH's PAYMENT.
Shitterstuck is more and more embarrassing every month.
