Author Topic: Hot Sellers. How many downloads do you get in a day? (Read 12865 times)

It would be interesting to hear more from others about their experience with their hot sellers and to see if there is a shift from 2 years ago to now.
I only submit vectors on SS so that might also play a part here. My hot sellers gets in anywhere from 4-9 downloads a day on good days. I don't ever remember a file of mine going over 10 downloads a day. Im sure there are images that gets more than that or at least i would like to think there is.
The popular downloads from my library are groups or sets if that helps. One my more popular sets has around 3400 downloads and i uploaded that may 2013.
I do think there has been a slightly small shift in downloads recently but i wouldn't mind hearing stats from other people if they willing to share. It would provide me a better picture of where i stand compared to my fellow contributors.

it varies. but you may have the same trend as i do..ie the best sellers sell almost daily.
sometimes more than once a day. and really, it is these daily sellers that are bringing in the money.

which comes back to a comment someone made in another thread. would your sales go down if you don't upload new images? for me, the answer is no...
because the best sellers continue to gain downloads and no doubt gain their position on pg 1 first row.

is this your experience too???

One of my images have 10 downloads today so far. First time any image reached the 2 digit mark in a single day...could be the 2nd, can't remember.

I don't have many hot sellers...just a lot of consistent sellers that get one or 2 downloads a day. 3 of my sets have reached 800 downloads each. Yesterday I had the best day ever in terms of downloads...partly because of the holiday images that's getting hot at the right moment.

I expect some holiday images to do spectacularly well this time of the year. Thats something i don't have in my portfolio. That's sort of the reason i posed this question to see if some holiday images sell more than 10 times a day.

Do you sell pictures or vectors or both for your examples you stated?

I sell both. The image that sold 10 times is a business image. The Holiday ones are selling 2-4 times a day, but I expect many of them to come to a halt once Thanksgiving is over.

This is my experience too. Hot sellers sell almost every day. My sales don't change if I upload or not. Many of my photos are on 1st page but that doesn't promise they make hot sellers. Some hot sellers are not on page one.

Wow, I've had a couple of best sellers that did almost a download a day. Never had one that crossed the 10 download a day mark.

The trend on those seems to continue. So even if i stop i don't think they're going anywhere.

I almost never get more than 2 downloads a day on any photo. My daily sales are more spread out across the whole portfolio. Maybe this is because I only have photos and no illustrations.

I have about 2600 images on my port.
about 800 are photographs and 1800 are vectors and illustration (jpg).

I got about 40-60 downloads per day.
You have to continue to upload great quality images constantly to get better earning and one of my top sales got about 1-5 downloads a day for 3 years now.

My most downloaded image has 1.084 downloads/day on average. It has over 1000 downloads in total. Not hot at all $:-\$

i got a serie of 6 images that are being downloaded every day 2-3 times from 6 months now...especially one image from this serie is particularly loved and had 144 download in 3 months...the other downloads are spreaded trought the portfolio, counting that i have an avarage of 4-5 dl/day these serie of 6 images is performing definitely better than the rest of my port

A few photos from my one series are getting 1 to 2 downloads almost every day. Not my best sellers, but funny because DP rejected them for LCV. I doubt they have a clue what sells.

My best selling vector had 12 dls on one day, usually it has 2-6.
My best selling photo has 2 dls/day on average, more in the second half of the year because it's a picture of cinnamon.
Highest number ever for one shot was 6 if I remember correctly

I have one that sells about 5 to 9 times / day on SS
but I have series that with about 20 photos... they give me few $ every days

I don't understand best sellers sometimes. I have an images that is my best seller and a VERY similar on that is not selling at all. It might have a secret that I still don't understand.

Weekdays 3-7 sales a day in SS.
Weekends 1-3 sales.

My best seller vector only got a maximum of 7 downloads a day. Usually it has 2-3 per day even in weekends
