Title: How Much DL to make it to Top 50
Post by: steppysteph on June 17, 2008, 08:44: I was just wondering if anyone knew how much downloads per week on average does those photos in the top 50 of the week have? Is it the same as istock top of the week which is around 100+ DLs for the last week? 100+ a week is too little on SS... so is it around 1000+ a week?

But of course 100-120 DLs consistently downloaded for several weeks is still great! Thanks for the info!

I was thinking that maybe 15 DLs per day is easy... but no! I guess not! Still, that's probably a reachable target. Hopefully I'll have one of those one day. Hehe! Thanks!

Umm.. probably no link to top 50 contributors..

I’ve had images in the top 50 for as little as one day. Or I have had them go in out and back in again.

Being in the top 50 list doesn’t in itself generate sales as the buyers don’t get to see the list only the contributors, but once your image is in the top of the popular searches than that will generate sales.

I read somewhere on the site that is more about sustained activity as opposed to the actual number of downloads.

Following is the detailed breakdown of dl, day by day since June 19 - first dl.
Can't remember which of these days it hit the top 50 - it was file #30.
I was happy and surprised.

Post by: stickstock on July 15, 2008, 11:53: I only got accepted 6 days ago so I was pleasantly surprised to see one of my images already at number 27 in the Top 50 per week chart! :) It has 52 downloads and goes to show that the new ones do have a chance against images which have been on for ages.
