I would like to quit SS completely (I still have an account with pictures there) how to do it and how long does it take?
-
Why don't you email them and ask?
-
I thought someone did this already an can tell me

I expect there are guidelines in their ToS too. Have you bothered to read them or do you want someone else to do it for you?
Here's the bit you need;
"Can I remove a photo I submitted?
Yes. Any photo you submit can be removed by you at any time. Removal is immediate and not reversible"
-
Well but 2500 photo removing one by one ::) I would like to quit my account completely
-
For f**ks sake, what is wrong with you? Just email them and tell them what you want to do and then it's done. How easy can they make it?
I don't think you're here asking for advice at all __ you appear to be just trying to publicise your decision and make out that SS are bad in some way.

No you are wrong.
I'm also not going exclusive. But I think many people gone exclusive and therefore quitted shutterstock completely, so I thought someone could share the process and the time involved etc. I thought this is the reason forum exists: to share experience.

I'm also not going exclusive.
Why are you quitting SS then? May we know, since this is a sharing site? ;)
-
I may share this after quitting ;D

Perhaps if you share it now, your portfolio will vanish there suddenly by itself. :P
-
LOL I don't think so I didn't have any issues with shutterstock
-
Yeah, I don't really know either, but I would try sending a site mail asking them to cancel your account. Surely you won't have to delete the images one by one.
-
and from another thread
BTW SS and DT allow you to disable images without deleting them.
So you can go exclusive to IS and then if you changed you mind later, you can just reactivate your portfolio on SS and DT.
I don't know if FT has such option?

Thanks Leaf as I'm not going exclusive elsewhere I would prefer deleting instead of disabling.
