I am a Level 6 and I estimate it will takes me 6 months to reach Level 6 again after reset.

But looking at my stats as a Level 6 now, I could immediately sees that this is going nowhere. There's definitely no increase even for a Level 6 so the email about rewarding performing contributor is quite a "lie".

I can imagine how much less I will be getting after the reset.

So, from now on, I will be removing links from my sites and directing those links to much higher RPD sites like Adobe Stock. I will be directing my customers to other sites. I will also halt uploads.

Looking at the Shutterstock forums this afternoon, it appeared that seeing tiny subscription royalties in stats made the serious nature of these cuts plain.

Even if some of the fine-grain details can only be seen with more weeks/months of royalty data, the big picture is pretty clear right now.

I was at Level 4 before disabling my portfolio, but would have become Level 5 shortly (depending on how badly sales slowed). Doing some rough calculations made it clear to me that any benefit of getting 35% instead of 30% would be completely outweighed by two things. Having to slog back up from level 1 to 5 each year; and the impact of masses of 10-15 subscriptions.

I've been using another contributor's phrase for halting uploads in twitter posts about this - #DontFeedTheGreed

It's pretty clear to me (and increasingly clear to remaining contributors looking at this afternoon's stats) that there was only one beneficiary from today's royalty changes and that was Shutterstock.

I'm looking at 10 downloads right now and they're all under 20 cents each. It's more than a 50% decrease. It's heartbreaking to look it.

I may keep my portfolio there, but they're not getting another upload from me. What they did is sickening.

Halted uploads. All New Stuff will go to better places.
Removed all links to ShitterStuck portfolio.
Removed all shitstuck related sites from my microstock database.

Stop feeding greedy shitheads.

You may want to remove the link to your SS portfolio here on MSG too.

Will wait until I'm paid for May then I'm out. Pointless.

Same position. Been with them over a decade. One of the top tiers. Wont be seeing anymore of my work until they rethink this. Mostly around 10c dls even at this point in the year. I would be on less than half this "percentage" for half the year so even more dls driven into the 10c minimum.

Minimum demands from me. Percentage must mean actual percentage paid for that DL and rolling 12 month tiers.

Have a good year SS, as your collection falls further and further behind your competitors...

Seeing images that went for $0,38 now going for $0,10 like I'm seeeing now, feels like being stabbed.

I'm a full time stock photographer and things were going terrible for the past years, but this move may have killed my business. To earn 25% of what I used to earn is sickening.

It's a very hard decision with a lot of serious financial consequences for me to deactivate my portfolio, but I may have to go kamikaze.

With such a huge drop it won't make a difference if I earn 25% or 0% of my previous SS income.
