Or submit properly ... I use the browser upload and something goes wrong ... so I ftp and upload and ... work around the missing files crap ... but, my last set of rejections were for not being vector files :/ Totally puzzled on how I'm supposed to do this, and I've gotten to the point where I just try and if not I give up for a few weeks, or months ...

I'm not a big contributor ... I maybe create a couple files per month, and I don't care if I'm rejected because my illustration sucks or whatever but, I really don't know how to get past these naive rejections for files that I've probably tried to upload a dozen times before you even see them! UGH!

(using filezilla and chrome, if anyone has any suggestions it'd be grand)

What exactly goes wrong? I use browser upload in Chrome too, I didnt have any problems so far. If I want to upload a vector, then I select the eps file and the jpg preview and I drag both files at once to the upload area. The files must have the same name, for example "flower.eps" and "flower.jpg". What happens when you do that, is there some error message?

Did you submit vectors in format EPS8 or EPS10? Where did you create them, in Adobe Illustrator, Corel or Inkscape?

I'd drop them a line at:

[email protected]

I've always found the responses from a chap called Mate Toth (I'm sure there are others) comprehensive and helpful and usually within 48 hours.

Their upload process is one of the easiest, and though there's a glitch once in a while usually things go smoothly. You do need to drag the eps and jpg in together. Their system figures out it's the same file.

Are you making sure that when your editing after upload that you select yes in the drop down box for is this an illustration?

Can't try it right now, usually it says that that filetype isn't supported I think. Yes EPS10 using AI and I'll either be missing the preview or the vector. Sometimes the previews don't even load if they do upload so I can't tell which file is missing and end up starting over. It's so confusing.

yup

I see, EPS10 from AI should be the correct format, I also submit it. I asked because I think it is also possible to create eps files in Photoshop and I guess they wouldnt be recognized as vectors but that is not the case here.

I suppose then you should really write to support as Red Dove suggested and ask them to clarify the rejection reason - what exactly is wrong with the eps files you submitted (perhaps some technical parameter). Give them batch IDs and whichever error messages you got while uploading. Definitely dont give up.

Wonder if I'm being impatient, I keep grabbing all ten and tossing them in all at once ... maybe I should just do the two files at once ... and wait for it to finish?

I always drag only two files at once (eps plus jpg) and wait until they fully upload (both icons appear). Try it, it cant hurt.

I'm not a vector guy - don't know if that makes a difference - but I use WinSCP to do the upload and then go onto the website to set categories etc. Never have a problem with it.

I am having a terrible time with it today. I have been trying to get my uploads done for about half an hour. Images and batches disappearing, not being processed properly, all sorts of problems. Wonder if they are doing something with the servers today.

To me it is ok, although I do a few uploads per day.

I tried uploading a single image today - tried 5 times with no luck - then switched from Firefox to Safari and had no problem.

When dropping them in do you still get this error?

Edit: Guess not ... usually it auto-detects and marks them as illustration/clip-art
