Title: I did it! Finally broke $10k!

It's been agonizing to watch my slow sales the past few days, so close to the $10,000 milestone and a royalty increase.  The wait's finally over thanks to an Extended License.  Even sweeter, the image was among the first taken with my new 10-24mm lens:

It'll take a while to cover the cost of the lens, but suddenly I don't mind quite so much.

Congratulations!

Luckily Shutterstock's business model does actually appear to be "sustainable" (unlike Istock's apparently) so there's every chance you'll get to maintain your newly-earned reward.

Wonderful news!  Congratulations Disorderly!  What a great way to start the new year  ;D  One good thing about this business... when you hit a milestone, you know you've truly earned it (and then some!).

I have always thought your port was excellent. Kudos to you for an amazing milestone. I am still working towards $500 so I realize how much work you put in. Booya to you!!!! (no woo yays allowed).

Kind of you to say, BooKitty.  I'm impressed with yours too; with I had the skill and imagination to produce illustrations.

Nice going. I'm still working on the first $500 level and that raise. But of course it would mean uploading more images?  ::)
