That combined with recent absurd image reviews could be an indication that Vogons are taking over...

Or FIFA

Maybe....Just maybe there setting up to release the new forums?

BS & SS are both down and shutterstock has stated that the forums are on different servers.

At the very least they are working on the main site and the roll out is not going well.

Forums are back up.

Let the 'doom and gloom' continue.

Let the 'doom and gloom' continue.
And the search finally works.  Maybe they're starting to fix things.

Are we supposed to go search through the forums every day to see if they might shut something down then next day?  They should have sent an email, tweet, or put up a notice on the contributor site at the very least shouldn't they?  But you're right that doesn't explain why it's been broken so often recently.

The sales side may have been up during all this, but I'm having my worst weekday all year, and worse than most weekend days. I sold more on Memorial day.

It is very clearly under the big "Announcements" heading on the contributor page.

Are they supposed to personally come over and knock on your door and hand you a monogrammed letter?

You're right, I never look there since it's mostly stuff I don't care about or things that aren't really that important.

Sales side has issues also.

But glad it seems to be corrected - glad the forum search is working - can't say yes or no if this affected sales....average day ultimately.

obviously you do care and the downtime announcements are important. Bit of a contradiction there

Mostly Ron.  They didn't post there yesterday that the ftp was down, just that a few days ago it would be down for a couple hours.  We all know it's been down a lot more than that.

I've been with Shutterstock almost from the very beginning, about 10 years now. It's always been the most technically reliable agency, never down, never any serious glitches. During the last year or so it started to change noticeably. That combined with recent absurd image reviews could be an indication that Vogons are taking over...

or they got IT ppl from istock working with them  ;D which explains deja-vu efffect on ss .
whatever, the cause of lower earning for sure has to be due to technical problems...if we can get in, clients cannot either. seems like some areas are fine, reportedly from the forum.
otoh, istock is doing better now, so maybe some of the ss disappearances have gone there ;D

My video uploads still don't appear in the Ready to Submit section...even though everything appears to be up and running. Does anyone else experience the same thing?
