As many of us will disable portfolios on 1st of June what if we do it simultaneously? What could be impact on servers and customers experience?

We are all over the world, in different time zones but doing it in 3 steps is possible.
For example:
18:00 GMT for America (NYC 2pm, LA 11am)
04:00 GMT for Asia/Australia (2pm Sydney, 1pm Tokyo)
12:00 GMT for Europe/Africa (2pm Berlin/Paris, 3pm Moscow)

Have you noticed that there are reports of people's logins being suspended for a month, rather than their accounts outright closed in some cases? I wonder if this is to prevent coordinated action. They wont be able to login and deactivate on the 1st. Maybe SS is hoping this will have all blown over by July.

Also, if there would be more coordination...    if many of us started to just upload crappy video files of several gigabytes and just leave them sit there without submitting them... that could be fun for their servers

Good point brought up in another thread...if you disable on June 1, do you think SS will send you Mays payment by the 15th? Ethically they should. But Doesnt sound like they are playing fairly.

They should. Disabling photo and video sales is not account closure

Disabling doesn't mean instantaneous results on the site - search engine has to update, just like with new uploads. I don't think you can coordinate timing even if you decided it was a good idea

I dont think this is a maybe. I think they are banking on it.

It's all going to come back to haunt them in January whatever they do.

This is actually why I decided to flip the switch yesterday (Saturday the 30th), rather than wait until today or tomorrow.

As somebody else here noted, it's hard right now to trust anything at all at SS.

Personally, I'm waiting to receive my May earnings* before I deactivate my account.
I think that's much wiser.

*I mean the email from Paypal saying Shutterstock has sent you $ 10,000,000"
