It will arrive but text here:  'We have some exciting updates coming up for our Shutterstock contributors. These will help our customers get to know you a bit more and enable you to better showcase your great work!

We cant share any details beyond that (for now) but we highly recommend you take another look at your Shutterstock Portfolio page.

Make sure you have an updated (larger) profile photo, add your website plus any social media handles, and tell us more about yourself by updating your tagline and creating a bio. You also might want to get your image and footage sets tidied up - especially the footage ones *hint hint*.

Go give your portfolio page some TLC and stay tuned for some exciting updates coming your way!'

I hope they bring back the option to follow. I had loads of followers and better sales until someone at Shutterstock decided we should all be anonymous, so personalising us again may have a positive affect.

I'd at least like the ability to actually organize sets!

It would be positive if they finally decide to make footage sets public.

I have been contributing since 2006. When i see "exciting news", "big news" etc, my income always dropped :)

Don't most customers just look for the image they want via searches? Do they really care about who created the photo?....why would they?

Why . would a buyer be remotely interested in me?

I think SS want us to promote our photos to our people. For subs.
I used to think that was why they took so much of the money - cos they promoted OUR images to THEIR people.
This may be a wrong interpretation
but exciting news has a poor track record in microstock!

They might implement an online dating option, don't forget to upload your photo

Exactly.  I just got the email.  SS buyers don't care about my profile or anything else.  They just grab the photo and move on.

I got the email too, of course, but did go ahead and update my profile page. Just in case.

However, it would be much more exciting news to hear back from the "dedicated team" that seems totally uninterested in replying to my request for feedback on those videos they rejected on Monday.

I was having a pretty good day until you posted this. Thanks!  ;) More exciting news, like there's a blizzard coming my way or the car isn't just in need of something minor, it's scrap?

I'm already quite dated at over 70? Why should I post a scary photo?

To be fair, didn't a lot of people here over the years complain about no video sets?

Really people if they roll out something nice for the artist and some tools I am happy. If they cut prices I am not happy. That simple, so if no price cut then Merry Christmas to me!
