I have 4 video clips currently in Pending approval, but exactly the same clips also show as being reviewed and approved in the Recently Reviewed section, which is a bit odd. Is this a bug, or am I missing something here?

I've seen that too.  Probably because those clips were JUST reviewed and the system hasn't updated yet.  This issue only appeared recently.  Back in the day, the site didn't behave this way.
