I get very edgy when anybody starts tampering with a search, especially a pretty good search such as, SS. I sincerely hope that " relevancy" will not be the default but only an option.
Many other agencies, using Relevancy, are having hard search times. In fact, the entire shamble of the IS, best match, is based on relevancy.

I hope it'll bring me more SODs and ELs, so far I got none this month :o . OTOH subs and ODs are higher than ever, so things are still on track for a 2nd BME, but with the number of ELs and SODs I got in March, it would be a BME easily, a big one at that, especially if there were some 18$ SODs and 90$ ELs among them

it is helping me but same number of sales, maybe more ODs

I wonder how much time will pass until we will starting to see deleted images ( SS is having 20 mil images online)....

that doesn´t make sense at least in terms of their collection, sure it could be 5 M but why going down from the 20 M, would it be better for us and for buyers too? shall we stop uploading?

The sooner the better, site would work faster, less rubbish in the search results=more satisfied buyers ;)

basically I believe if they ever do a cleaning they should start on older files without any sales but back in 1900 when everything would sell so might not be that accurate, the all deleting has a lot of costs not to mention that reviewers were paid to approve those files..
another thing is that buyers looking for a picture won´t go over 50k results, they will go over the 1-5 first pages, so all the crap ain´t making the job harder for buyers
25% of my portfolio at SS never sold

I note that SS actually informs us, and that their post equals contributers and customers. They explain it well, I think.
BTW I think that the falling sales we sometimes (and especially this May) hear about from all around the agencies, might have more to do with macro economics than the performance of the agencies.

Indeed. We aren't getting the same number of DLs from some EU countries (Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Ireland...) that we used to. I hope BRIC compensates to a degree. Well at least Brazil does, for me.

That covers it. Funny how restructuring the search is "cooking the results" Hey wait, they created the search in the first place, was that cooking the results?
And gee, everyone's sales are down. (haven't we heard that impossible claim before?) Like, someones pictures have "all" been moved back. Well folks, that means someone is getting those sales now and something had to replace all those files that moved backwards.
I suspect a bunch of complaining and crying, as usual. That's the true nature of any change. Complainers are loud and frequently exaggerated.
Hey look, it must be working. An image of mine that's never sold before, sold on Sunday. :D Good thing it wasn't deleted according to Some People!
