Out of the 20 newly approved files, only two are visible on SS site.

It has been 12 hours after approval.

Anyone here has seen this before?

It's a bit more complex than that. There's a lag of something like 2-3 days on most sort-order functions, for technical reasons I'm sure.

Usually files are visible almost immediately in your own port. It takes longer for files to be visible on a search against any of their keywords and even then they can only be seen initially if you choose 'Newest' as the sort order. If you do a search and then switch between Newest and Popular you'll see that the number of search results changes slightly. After a further 2-3 days your images will then be seen in Popular too.

It usually takes yet another 2-3 days for any sales to have an effect on the image's sort-order position and also for the keywords used to appear in your 'Darkroom' information.

Because of all that, contrary to popular belief, it really doesn't matter on which day of the week you upload as you have no way of predicting exactly how long each step will take before your images become fully visible.

That's what I mean.

Only 2 photos out of the 20 approved in the same batch are visible in my portfolio.

I don't know where the other 18 have gone.

Give it time.

A day the images don't appear is a day they are off the market.

First try if you can find them with keywords in Shutterstock (not in your portfolio). It happens that you can find them even if they are not in your portfolio.

It happened a few times, they will pop up in about 24 hours. I just got the mail about my latest batch, and they are all up there instantly... but it takes them almost a week to show in the catalog manager -- ??? anybody  experiencing that?

Images appear in catalog manager when they can be found in "most relevant" and "most popular" search. Images appear immediately only in "sort by new" search after approval. "Popular" and "Relevant" takes few days more.

Missing from your folders or missing from the sales site. It took mine three days (I think, I was out of town) but they were up for sale as soon as they were accepted. That's what counts, not if we can see them on the contributors site. At least to me?  ;D

Some images accepted on 10 October had already sales.. so it appears account issue rather than an site issue.

Mine situation is even worse. They never showed up anythwere. No sales or searchable what so ever. Just a poof, they disappeared after the approval emails. I have been sending emails to the supports but heard nothing back, it's been 3 days. Funny thing is that other batches approved the same day showed up normally and getting sales...

I had 6 small batches approved yesterday. They all had gone.  I think it's a site problem because too many accounts were affected.

I think you are correct. Mine show for sale, didn't show in my portfolio that I can see, for a few days. Today a new image approved and it's showing everywhere, I'll see tomorrow if it changes? :)

Others have seen them approved, showing and then go away again. I guess it's not something that's consistent and easy to pin down?

Mine do show in keyword searches, even when they aren't showing in the "submit" site section.

Same for me. Approval emails. Files disappear. And now after three days, I haven't seen the images anywhere.
(BTW, the images are/was editorial, does that have anything to do with the disappearance?)

Mine editorial ones are being processed faster than others: approved, for sale and one sale in less 24 hours

One day, one sale for the new image, everything showing everywhere. Must be some strange problem with the servers doing backup and synchronizing. Keep in mind they have new files, old files, servers all over the world and 15 million pictures! Maybe it's getting better? But mine are fine right now.

Not Editorial and I doubt if that matters, but I don't work the system, so it's just an assumption that everything is carried the same and the file types are in the file data, not where the images are physically stored.

SS says 72 hours sometimes for things to get straight across the servers.

Next person that writes and acts like it's something new and wonders if SS knows about this, will get a sarcastic answer.

It's all over their forum, it's all over here, people from around the world have been writing to support day after day. Time to sit back and let them work on it without hopping up and down shouting about the problem, or writing to support over and over. Complaining on the forums isn't going to make anything happen faster = They Already Know it's screwed up, and they are trying to fix it!

Just noticed 10 of my latest pictures accepted a few days ago and had sales just disappeared today from my portfolio and the search. They're still online when you fill in the id number in the address bar.

I disagree. If people were not to voice out or tell them they wouldn't know how severe the problem was. They kept saying the photos were visible under the relevant search which turned out to be not true (proven by the people who did not sit back). Also, I just received an email reply today from the support claiming the problem was resolved and my photos were online. It turned out to be another false statement. I will have to write to them. It's not "complaining", it actually helps them to debug the system.
My 25 cents.

Let me be a little more polite. They already know. SS doesn't read here or have any obligation to monitor here for issues. They do read their own reports and their own forum and have answered for over a week, that They Know and they are working on it.

So what purpose does writing here, the same thing over and over, serve? None!

If you can't find your files, send a support ticket or write on the SS forums. That's what I was trying to say.

Lucky me, I did nothing, wrote nothing and after three days all my new approved files are now in my folder. They were up for sale from day one. So it appears that some people are having varying problems. But writing about it here doesn't fix anything!
