Hi!

I'm trying to reach out to find a solution to a painful upload process. Since a few years back, when I upload vectors to Shutterstock many things happens:

1- A lot of vectors / JPG gets processed independently.
2- Out of 1000 vectors submit, almost 100 never reach the submit site. Have to locate them and upload again.
3- Some vectors lose the IPTC data.

Is there anyone here who can upload 200+ vectors to Shutterstock in one batch and then getting 200 images ready to get submitted? Before I could have very large batches uploaded with no issue. Now we need to keep track of each images submitted and located the missing ones.

If you are uploading without issues, can you tell me which Software you use for FTP and the steps you take? Shutterstock said to try only uploading 20 vectors at a time, but even then, some vectors will get processed independently from the JPG (so we get 2 files instead of 1) and some won't get processed at all to the submit area.

Thanks for your feedbacks :)

I am in the same boat, often individual files fail and I have never found a solution.

I abandoned the FTP and use the web uploader. You basically have to do small batches and then babysit those to make sure they work. Shutterstock has quickly become one of the worst upload processes and that is saying a lot when there are so many companies vying for that title.

I also use the web browser because of the FTP problem... anyway, most of my jpgs uploads are shown as broken so i need to upload it again, biggest advantage using the browser is that you can see the browen files easy

My question is if u uploaded such huge numbers of vectors could help to improve sales?in my shoes, new files almost can't sell a dime :( and my sales constantly drop 10-20% compared with the same period of last year even I uploaded regularly like I had done in last year ,which makes me very frustrated  :(

Thanks for sharing. I've tried also the web uploader with limited success. I'm still daydreaming of the days when we could simply upload everything without checking, and submitting it all in the same day without issues.

I was hoping I was doing something wrong :(.

I just come back to this thread becuse now i have several problems with browser uploader (slow upload time, a lot of broken files, no more that 50 vectore per upload, etc), so i will try FTP again...

If anybody have any new information about uploading optimization at SS it will be great ;)

Ok, i have some problems again.

Some images are processed and other not. But you have no way to know which ones are not processed so, after sending a big number or images it is a very hard work to check one by one, specially because you have no way to navegate on uploaded (but not sending) images, you can just see 40 of them.

Yes still the same issue, I have to hire a freelancer each time I submit large batches so he manually check each 50 images batch and track down the ones that has not been process. It's a lenghty process for vectors :(

Yep, I have to upload images 6 or 7 times to get one processed.
