...beyond the more general thread "SS down" I just wanted to start a little thread specificly addressing the current FTP upload problem on SS.

Currently all my uploads go through to the FTP server but afterwards do not show up in the Editor. Switching to manual FTP processing does not change anything for Footage neither.

It looks like a large number of Contributors is affected.....anyone else?

I did a day ago and I still see them sitting in FileZilla.  I believe that SS is growing content faster than they can keep up with the corresponding processing needs and technology.

Dunno why we needed a new thread - the 'SS Down' thread summed it up.

Update from Shutterstock / Vincent (quote):

>>
As many of you reported over several posts, there are some issues with uploading, most notably:

- FTP uploads not showing in Content editor
- Jpegs that accompany vectors do not show in Content Editor

Both of these cases are slow down, meaning that the content is uploaded, and will eventually show, but not at the desirable speed. We are working hard to address these issues and improve the upload speeds to normal levels as soon as possible.

Until then, please know that your content is uploaded but that you may need to wait longer for the FTP uploads or jpeg previews to show.

Please do not re-upload

Unfortunately for video contributors we have to use FTP. Web uploader does not work for video.

I hope to work with videos in the future... last time i use the FTP server was several month ago, because during my vacations i work on my computer creating some designs, but i dont upload it because i was in a hotel and internet conection was so expencitive. When i come back i was almost 150 vector illustrations, so i decide to upload with the FTP server because of the large number of files (300 files jpg+eps, and about 3gb) of course, i was the whole day uploading with FTP server, but it is ok, becuse you can keep FileZilla working and watch TV, go outside or keep working in other designs...

When the process finish, just 20% of files was in SS... FileZilla show no errors, but SS have some problems with it. After waiting for almost 10h hours, the files was no in SS... Long time checking to determine the files that was no uploaded, and then upload it again with FTP server, this time every file was uploadad on filezilla, but after 1 day the files never get loaded on SS. I upload it again with filezilla, again about 20% of the files was on SS... again wasting time checking for files who was not upload at SS...

And again and again... i just decide to dont use FTP server anymore!!

I also write on SS forum on a specific thread about FTP server created by SS in order to solve FTP server problems, but nothing, and other users who write month ago didnt have any reply or solution.

This was a several month ago, maybe the process is better now... i dont know...

I uploaded 21 videos and took 2 hours to show up but I have been waiting for 8 days for them to be reviewed. Totally unusual.
