Hi, I just saw a photo of mine published in an important digital newspaper that in the credits indicates Shutterstock, however, I have never sold that photo in Shutterstock. Who should I contact, Shutterstock, the newspaper... or with none of them just for a few cents?   :-\

Is it possible that the sales do not appear immediately in the account?

Thank you

I have no idea what your specific situation is, but in your terms of service it says:
"Compensation
Shutterstock shall pay you a royalty for each unique download of Content for which Shutterstock receives payment. The current royalty rates are set forth on the Earnings Schedule, which schedule is incorporated herein by reference. If a customer downloads the same item of Content more than once, you will be paid once only. Please note that there may be a reporting delay for customer downloads reflected in your Shutterstock contributor account."

Hey not always. I've made around $228 on a single image sale with SS before.

Searching in the web of the newspaper Ive found my image published with different news 4 times more since june. Three months of delay?

Maybe that's why sales are down, we are simply not getting paid for our sales.

Maybe someone stolen your photo and selling on shutterstock? Search on shutterstock if someone have this photo. Just guessing.

Hope everything will be fine for you!

Best regards!

Its as ShadySue pointed out

"Please note that there may be a reporting delay for customer downloads reflected in your Shutterstock contributor account."

It's called credit terms ~ any large corporate account is going to basically pay not on the day when they use the image but on a monthly or quarterly basis.

No doubt the sale will turn up eventually and when it does you'll know what credit terms SS are giving to newspaper and magazine publishers.

In which case please come back and report what that was!

The update.

Shutterstock says that the customer never purchased that photo in Shutterstock web. Searching in other agencies Ive found that the only place I sold this photo was in Bigstock, three times in a day in June, so as Shutterstock and Bigstock are the same agency, I suppose that there is a mistake in the caption of the newspaper and where it says "from Shuttestock" it should have said "from Bigstock"

Thanks everyone for your comments.
