I have seen that from a long time lot of changes have been made in shutterstock.... with lot of errors.

To short down here are the problems :
- Images not Visible,
- Submitters Support not very active,
- Sometimes images get reviewed very late.... and sometimes don't even get reviewed for which they have to be informed.
- Files which get reviewed don't gets online when checking with Newest First.
- Unusual Rejections of Images

Shutterstock comes in top tier but these things really gives you bonus frustration with good earning.

I am not sure whether others are facing these things or not... If so then do share your views about it.

Yes - I've read similar theories on Shutterstock forum (I found interesting that "the worse and less images in portfolio = more posts and complaints on SS forum  :) )

Shutterstock is top earner for most of contributors so the site is checked by contributors often and more thoroughly than other sites. I know precisely how many of my images on SS are invisible right now. But if 500 images would disappear from any of low earning sites, it would take weeks for me to realize it.

But yes - the bugs are quite often these days and they make me angry as well but fortunately - and that's important - it seems that none of these bugs bother buyers, sales are still increasing and that's important. I think that bugs were the main reasons that made many buyers to leave iStock because they needed images "now". And as for Dreamstime - "we'll be back soon" sign appears on my screen too frequently in my opinion.

No, not really. I've been with SS for 7 years and there have been considerably fewer issues there than with any other agency. Rejections? No, too few to mention.

Whilst there might have been a couple of short-term problems on the submitter side (now resolved) the much more important subscriber side has continued to work like clockwork and bring the money home.

Shutterstock is an outstanding and highly professional microstock agency who, in contrast to others, are continuing to grow our incomes on a monthly basis. Be grateful to them and don't start silly threads like this whining about nothing.

+1000!

Shutterstock is a dream compared to most other sites.  Not only is uploading fairly easy (and I have never had an issue with rejections) but the site delivers what's most important, and in vast quantity: sales.

I ignore all complaints about rejections...

Shutterstock's "strange" rejections most likely mean that they have tons of the stuff you supply and unless you come up with something really unique and extraordinary, your shots  will... not... PASS!!!

agreed by your words.
but I never complained that shutterstock is not good. I just started this tread to share that there has been many bugs in past few months.
And for rejections reviewers work weirdly... sometimes they reject the images and sometimes they accept the same...

Shutterstock still very good and most lovable site amongst contributors.

I had seven new pictures missing, wrote support, and they replied within short time saying they were aware of the problem and worked hard at fixing it. The picture were back before I saw the reply, but I haven't seen any downloads of them. Maybe they are not visible to customers, maybe they are shite and nobody wants to buy them. I'm just happy SS are trying to fix things.

Yes it is an excellent site but there are worrying signs that it is starting to have trouble keeping up with the load.

Is there some way of seeing if images are not visible? Since the hiccup early on Thursday when there were problems connecting with the site, my sales have been at least 30% lower than I expected.

I'd just like to let you know that we have a fix in place for the issues causing images to disappear from both search and your portfolio. The site should be correcting itself now but it may take some time.

Our support emails are very backed up at this time due to the issue detailed above. We are working hard to catch up on all emails in our submitters' support queue

Thanks for the update and info...

Despite having one of my worst weeks at SS in months when the popular image search wasn't working, I'm will have my best month ever in October.

Even with some bugs here and there, SS is consistently the best.

The best match affected me, it pushed some of my best sellers far back. But having a rather large portfolio, the income was only minimal hurt. However, I salute SS' decision of showing up in an independent forum and communicate the status of the ongoing work on the issues. One more reason to put Shutterstock always in front of any other agency.

today i see that 20 of my pictures from SS are missing; they just simply disappeared from my portfolio .... in the search engine the images appear without thumbnail an can't be accessed when i click  on them. Anyone have the same ;;problem;; or is just me?

@nicku - that sounds like the same problem ShutterstockGuru was talking about.

It appears my images are showing up in the 'newest' sort but if you sort by popularity the images disappear.  It seems the last 500,000 images aren't showing up in the 'popular' sort :S - or at least I have images that are 500,000 uploads apart (according to their image numbers) and none of them are showing up in the popular sort.  Which is perhaps the same problem again, but it seems to be a pretty large problem.
