Title: Press credentials take too long to approve
Post by: BigLeague on August 23, 2017, 10:54
So far 3 days and still no approval for press credentials for an event. Do SS understand that these type of images need to be up asap?
It is the only site that takes this long, the images are now already for sale on other sites.

Who else submits press creds? whats your experience?

It can take 3 days, 3-4 for the most. Chances are that they have not received them for some reason (that happened to me once). Can you contact them via Twitter or Facebook? Or resend them?

accepted now, now wait for images to be accepted. its just a bit long, these type of images should be up the next day, not 4-5 days later. My event promoter wanted to see them online the next day. oh well least the other sites get them online within a day or two at the most.

But still beats this.

" iStock editorial will no longer include traditional News, Sport or Entertainment ‘event coverage’. We will not accept breaking news, social or political demonstrations, elections, professional sporting events, or other time-sensitive, one-time events where we have existing coverage options or where the client expectation would be photojournalistic coverage on the Getty editorial platform and newsfeed.

Because of these changes we are currently in the process of culling existing files that do not meet the new guidelines. Your portfolio is affected and you may notice some of your editorial files have been deactivated."
