New version is online. Updated for newest Contributors Home page.

Everything should work normally, just few minor changes added.

Locks up on my FF, I just get some spinning disks and the page never loads. Before you tell me... I have Flash Blocker installed so I have to click on an arrow to allow them to run. I also have a script blocker installed. So nothing wrong except the way I have my system protected against attacks.  ;D

If I want it to work I can just install the software on Chrome and I'll see everything just fine.

It's me, not your software. Just so you know when someone else can't get it to work, you know what will stop it dead. Flash Blocker.

This edit is like a prequel. :D Installed and runs just fine on Chrome. Yes I have a Script Blocker running on FF, not just the flash blocker. I have the site OK to run scripts so I'm not sure what's causing the lock-up. More so you know in case someone else has the same answer, but I didn't dive into figuring out why. I just went to Chrome which I use for some other sites.

@RacePhoto Thanks for the info, always appreciated.
I use script blockers too but have opted to allow scripts on specified sites like SS and got both working.
Looks like Your Flash Blocker locks out not only Flash because there is no Flash inside SS SiteBoost.

Hi, I wrote a post in my blog about the new Shutterstock page and mentioned your plugin as well:

An automated Google translation from German to English is here:

Hm, somehow the version 0.28 doesn't work for me.

It keeps on "wait" for days now, though I watched the spider complete all three tables (25-a-day, EL, On-Demand).

My total stats keep looking like this:

No flash or javascript blockers in use on the shutterstock and the polish site...

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks in advance,
Robert

@fotorob thanks for the mention in article, btw. You write about a nice feature I wouldn't even figure out because I don't upload such  batch series.
0.28 was only an update for the changed layout and there can exist some hidden nasty bugs, I have a listof them  and soon will put 0.29 online. Thanks for the info

UPD: ok, I think I found the reason

Hi - sorry if this is a really DIM question.....but I'm very confused by all this!!! The software looks great but......
I've got Windows and Internet Explorer. Is there a version of this that I can download and use for SS?
Do I need other stuff eg Chrome, or Greasemonkey (whatever that is??)???

For IE is the bookmarklet version, but it needs to get clicked each time You change SS page to another. Altough bookmarklet works in all browsers... ::)

The best solution is the Autorun version:

- works in FF (as an add-on)
- in Chrome, Safari and Opera (as a script) - in Opera installation is not to easy.

Add-on or script - it does exactly the same, it may look a bit different because of browsers features.

Actually in max 2 days I will put version 0.29 online, fixing some bugs and tweaking functionality.

I would suggest Chrome, FF or Safari - depends on Your preferences and computer resources. IE is  :'(

I'm having a problem.  My only computer is a laptop, and all of the "popups" (for lack of a better word) are too big and go off screen to where I can't read the stats.  Is there a way to remedy that?

@Karimala Sorry.. I got an unexpectedly difficult week, version 0.29 should be already online and it's 99% ready and then just few things happened. Now I think I'm ready to work again so please be patient. Will try to update it as fast as I can.

hi!

Currently statistics for one enlarged photo only shows for a few last accepted pictures. Other pictures are enlarged, but don't have any data underneath (i.e. last sales on the map and pictures in my gallery).

Is it possible to get such statistics? Sometimes I want to check how particular photo is doing so it would be helpful.

(and as a possible next step beyond the request above - statistics for groups of photos - not sure if it's feasible to do within a plugin)

Edited to add: and once again many thanks for your great tool!

@ MikLav

Stats for a single photo are available at:

- Home Page thumbnails as You've said
- when You roll Your mouse over a thumbnail in Live Stats panel or You click that thumbnail
- when You enter APPROVED PHOTOS, in any batch: http://submit.shutterstock.com/review.mhtml?approved=1&type=photos

- on a EDIT PHOTO page - You can go there clicking in Your GALLERY or below selected photo on it's page

I would like to show stats directly on previews in GALLERY, but it's not possible because it's another domain WWW.SHUTT.... and not SUBMIT.SHUTT......

( Javascript restrictions, I could do it using external code and my server, just like I do it for referrals scanner... but I don't want to transfer any stats or personal data outside SS site.
In time maybe I'll manage how to do it using [extensions features] if that wouldn't  split the code to different versions for FF, CHR, OPER or SAFARI )

So, if You want stats for a photo You don't see actually in the Live Panel or on Home Page, You have to search for it using standard -Shuttterstock image search engine- and then click EDIT (pencil) ICON.

It's also impossible for me to show stats on Image Previews on the WORLD MAP because they use different kind of URL and I can't find a photo ID using this URL.
This is another feature I wanted to have/add in a first place, but SS site HTML code is not 100% consequent.

I'm working now to put 0.29 online today. Hope nothing weird will hapen again.

As for " statistics for groups of photos" - You mean batches? Like @fotorob described in his article from the post above http://www.alltageinesfotoproduzenten.de/2010/11/15/shutterstock-geballte-umsatz-statistiken/
Well it's easy, maybe in 0.3

No I meant groups that I would define myself. Pictures from one session spread across multiple batches. I guess it's not so easy to do...

In theory it's easy, but because SS site code could change anytime, it's [time to complexity] relation.

I can't invest too much time to something what tomorrow can disappear (like when SS will change a large amount of the site)
So I try to focus on most important things and keep it simple.

Altough I have a large list of features to include and add there each new feedback information.

I didn't see any bugs in previous version, but I am less lucky with 0.29 ! :)
First, it didn't install from your site so I had to take it from Mozilla.
Firefox could not install the file at

http://351.pl/plrangjs/ff/sssiteboost.xpi

because: Invalid file hash (possible download corruption)
-261

- I tried a few times with same result.

After installation now it opens statistics window when I try to see my home shutterstock page. Empty one, with little rotating sign on the left. And not reacting to "Close".  This one was easy to solve - the previous version of your add-on was installed via Grease Monkey and the new one isn't so they seemed to have conflict. When I disabled the old version the new one works fine.

Fixed, would be great If You could test again the installation, no gathered data will disappear during that process.

:) There are still some bugs, hope only the minor ones left. Finally I'll have a possibility to add some features instead of catching errors.

Right, If You have Greasemonkey version and add-on installed together, it may not work.

I did put few control points to avoid multiple launches, but do not check everything, because it's too much time consuming.
Reasons is always the same, no API available - using the Shutterstock HTML -  thus all I do may tomorrow get broken.

I really enjoy the SS Boost prlang.

Is there any way to query the SS database so you can show the performance of a certain image over time?  With SS in particular, I would really like to know how well an image sold after it's initial push.  I track some of this myself, but it just takes so long it's ridiculous to keep up with.

For instance it would be great to take one of my best sellers from 2008 and see how it is selling month to month in 2010/2011, kinda like how iStock lists individual image performance.  Honestly I am shocked SS has never given us something like this...   ::)

If your Siteboost 0.29b is disabled in Firefox 4, this is how you can fix it:
