Pond5 had 4 months review time... :)

I've only been doing this a couple of years but I've never had a 30 second review. That would be nice.
-
I submitted my batch about 15 minutes ago and it hasn't been reviewed yet, why is it taking so long? ;)
-
lol,
people have problems when it is super fast reviews and they still have problem when its 20 min delay or 6 hr delay.. lol :D
-
My problem is if they don't get reviewed in a day or two they just sit there stuck and when I told support they told me to delete and resubmit.....is it just me?

I uploaded a batch of photos and all were reviewed except one. I deleted that one photo and resubmited it, and it still sits there for about 2 weeks now. I guess I'll just have to resubmit it again.
-
I had that happen once where one photo was left behind. I contacted support and told them one photo was stuck in limbo and it was approved fairly quickly after that.

Same thing happening to 3 of my images. Looks like I have to contact support.

I've only been doing this a couple of years but I've never had a 30 second review. That would be nice.
Last week, I had half submitted, had to change words and when I sent those, the first were already accepted. One rejected, I edited, uploaded new, all the rest accepted. Then under 2 minute, the last one accepted.
IS 10/6 upload still pending
Microstockphoto you need to add ;) or something to sarcastic posts so people know you are not serious. Some people will complain about enything and some more will jump on everything negative here without getting the joke. I hear the bots were at a pizza party.

actually had a first hand experience this morning. amazing, but cannot believe it myself.
uploaded 30 images i had sitting in my laptop , and was bored so i decided to give this a go.
they were approved and rejected as soon as i submitted them.
honest !!!
20 approved. 10 out of focus. OOF??? i had to look at it 200% to see it was OOF, LOL..
so i re-submitted with sharpen edge, and guess what??? instant approval.
i don't know how ss do it. i think our images are robot-reviewed as we upload it.
which could explain why they no longer sit in pending review stage.
it 's ridiculous, really. the images were not OOF. but if that's all there is...
approved or rejected OOF, at least it's predictable as opposed to having atilla f*ck your brains
to figure out why it was rejected.
now i have a set of images that are over-sharpened... according to my workflow..
but hey, ss wants it that way... *, why should i worry???
-
Not a bot but fast doesn't mean the reviews are any better then waiting days for stupid wrong rejections. SS says if you disagree, send in again. Don't argue, complain or write, just upload again.

I had 8.000 images in my portfolio. I had 2-3 sales per day. Few days ago I uploaded 2.500 new images, got aproved arrount 2.200 images on the same day! But I did not notice any change in my salees whatsoever! I still god 1-2 sale per day, LOL. I think it is time to say godbye to SS.

With 8000 images having 2-3 sales per day, I would say that your images sucks.
-
I've had same problem last few weeks with a few images not getting reviewed with their batch-mates, and then just sitting there; for just a few it's not a big deal to delete & re-sub, but with 15+ it's a pain
what's a bit odd is some of the same images, when ftp'd with others, still get stuck

wow 2k a day!!! i haven't uploaded that many in the past 3 years , never mind a day.
the problem may be the kind of images you're making that are not selling, as dumc implies...
but it can also mean the risk of not being seen.
i say, not to upload too many at one time. if you don't get dls in the week your work is online after approval, it is sure to die stillborn.
that is why it's best to stagger upload time.
now with 8k images, i say, delete them and re-submit ;)
-
I found his port on Fotolia, thera are tons of similars....if you remove that, his port would probably shrink to 500....
It amazaes me, how people upload tons of almost identical photos and then come here and say I have 5000 files and almost no sales"....stupid..

Ive got loads I'm just leaving them in the Q and resubmitting Ive got a whole batch been sitting there a day with things as they are not sure if its in the queue or time to resubmit...what a mess!

My images waiting for review more than 12h. Very unusual.
others?
-
Mine also.

Nice! At least this gives a - once in a while - few hours' window of opportunity to newly accepted images before being buried by newer uploads.
-
Mine have slowed a bit too...its darned quick though!
-
I'm not even uploading anymore because new images don't see the light of day...

I like Fotolia's feature, if you go to "Dashboard" and then there's a "Newest files", if any of your files are featured there, you have a better chance for customers to see your port....
-
too bad faster reviews doesn't mean faster sales :)
-
Look on the bright side though... with 10,000 images and 1 to 2 sales a day, on average you'll have sold each of your images once... in just 18 years. Something to look forward to!
-
on brighter side, even when your images get accepted, they would go missing from searches and portfolio so chances it will sell are minimum and you are not loosing much
