They usually (well in 99%) review it over the night or in a matter of hours if I submit then during the day (CET). Now it's been 2 days and nothing, I even submitted a few more yesterday and all of them are still waiting for inspection. Is it taking so long with your photos as well?

You started a new thread for this? Two whole days in review?

Yes, since it is very unusual, during the day it takes 2-4h and twice as long during the night. I'm talking about SS, not industry standards. It's like my photos weren't inspected in 3 weeks at IS, where it usually takes 5 days. Well almost, but you do catch my drift right? ;) Just as well as I do your sarcasm, pointing out I'm doing something out of nothing and/or being a drama queen (yeah sounds weird to use it do describe a str8 man)

You know, whenever you upload files to ss you get a message like this: "...Please allow 72 hours for your photos to be processed. In many cases we can complete a review in as little as 48 hours, but during times of high volume it may take longer. Initial review of new accounts may take 7 to 10 days...." Your delay is probably caused by high volume of uploads they have to deal with, being the best month and the end of the year, I wouldnt be worried if I were you.

Exactly. I think you're in the remaining 1% this time. It happen at times, for no particular reason. I wouldn't worry too much.

I know, but it's just a matter of hours now for me to reach the 72h limit. I hope they don't accept it during the weekend  :(

I'm not worrying as much, as I'd like to know how fast were inspections for y'all this week. And I know contacting support won't get me a reply and solution of the problem, at least not in a timely manner (it'll probably be resolved before they reply, if they'll reply at all).

Inspections are as usual for me this week - which means more like 48h than 24h as it used to be years ago;
but at times my reviews take as much as 3 or 4 days: that's why I say I can't find a particular reason.

In the last few years I've had anything between one and two days, occasionally three days, and once it took four days.

The thing about SS is... I never really worry about what's going on there.  I just trust them.  It always works out in the end.

^^ Same here. The last couple of weeks it does seem like reviews take longer, but not in any way that is a cause for concern. If it takes 3 days instead of one day, I'm fine with that. It's still faster than a lot of other sites.

Since 2010: 2/3 days. Just one time that take a week. Editorial files no longer than 1/2 days.

Less than a day just once with editorial captions rejections that I was almost at "live" with reviewer  ;D (one batch take less 10 minutes LOL )

I had one approved on DT before SS this week - that hasn't happened before

exactly - i have similar results - i just try to keep about 50+ in the review queue and add more as they get reviewed.  SS is one of the faster review sites

Just the same as what I've been experiencing lately. Editorial is faster (one day or less) than RF. RF takes 2-3 days for me.

What I think some people are trying to do is time the uploads so they get accepted and show at what they imagine is the best possible times. That would be, not new on the weekend or end of the week, I suppose. Problem with this theory is, if the worry is moving down on the NEW list too fast, and many people play the system for new at the beginning of the week, then they all move down faster, because they are uploading more files, as new all at the same time, in a higher number. So the whole reason for doing it, is defeated?

Lets say reviewers can review 1000 images a day. (totally hypothetical) And on "bad days" (whatever someone thinks those are?), only 400 new images come in, because it's a "bad" time for new files. Then on the "good days", 4000 new images are uploaded because it's a "good" day. Well guess what, two things will happen.

Review will take longer maybe a day or two longer, and the files will show at the end of the week, just in time for the weekend? And two, any new files that come in the same flood, will move down four times faster, get buried as some people call it, than if they were uploaded in the slow period.

If it's all that important and that many people are playing the system, in effect, it negates any advantage that's imagined or real.

So I just upload when I'm in the mood and don't worry so much about review times getting my files online on the "good" dates and times.

Ok, so I see it's normal, at least up to 3 days.

It's just past 72h now...That being said, Racephoto, you're probably right, but the main reason for me posting on Sun-Tue is because I usually shoot over the weekend. And I always upload everything I've postprocessed that day and I'm usually done in a couple of days, since I usually send just around 10 photos from every shoot. Or a few more if I have more than one model.

The reviews for me have been a little slower this week, but, as said above, just let them do their job and it will get done. To give you some perspective, I've got video files at IS from august 2nd to be reviewed. They were up and running at SS the same day. SS does such a great job consistently that just doing a good job on occasion is okay by me. :)

Isn't it Thanksgiving in the US?  Maybe some US-based reviewers are taking some time off this week.

Been 7 days as of today. Longest in 6 1/2 years.I always figure 48 hrs, then 24 hours to show in search. Thats why I traditionally upload on Thursdays to be ready for Monday.
