There is a link on the contributor home page to a forum topic on changes we'll see soon in the payment history page:

"As you know, we are investing heavily in upgrading the technology that powers Shutterstocks infrastructure, website, and mobile apps. As part of these ongoing system upgrades, you will begin to see changes to the Payment History page in the coming days. Youll see improvements to the design, and new options for customization have been added.

Were looking forward to sharing more improvements with you in the coming months.

Thanks for your continued contributions to Shutterstock."

I have no idea why they want to "improve" this page - and from the comments so far in the forum, I'm not the only one wondering why they're wasting time on such a low-use area. I posted my thoughts (for what good that will do) suggesting they should ask us what improvements we want versus just making them and assuming they'll delight us

If they are anything like the new "exciting" contributor homepage it will take a fresh click to see every month or something like that. It hardly seems like something that needs ruining or fixing.

Upload has been buggy for months/ years. If they can't do the basic upkeep what's the point of * about with anything else.

In my opinion, the only thing that they want is to show to the shareholders (who, for the most, understand nothing about microstock, web sites, etc.) that they are doing "something".

Happy shareholders = happy Shutterstock

I can't answer the question, but I award 5 points for using "Shutterstock" and "thinking" in a sentence.

That's not how this should be worded in corporate speak. I'll attempt to rephrase.

It is run by people whose interests are not well aligned with the interests of contributors.

I don't have much against SS, let's just say lately it's performance was less than stellar.  But I have no problem, other stocks are picking up, so it all evens out for me.  Maybe it's just me, or maybe the interests of those who run SS no longer align with the interests of buyers either. Needless to say, I have only sympathy for front line workers.

Actually given some of the rather odd happenings of late I would say SS may  not actually be "run" by the people who think they run it  :o

I was briefly really excited that this was going to be something that improved on their recent changes, some of which have been good, some of which have been annoying. Then I realized I had no idea what the Payment History page even was. Improve the Earnings Page! I've never used the Payment History page.

I guess the improvements have crashed the system as payments haven't updated for 10 hours!

hahaha!  spot on! you dont even know how spot on you are!  tell you this much it was a long time ago since Jon and Co ran the place and boy dont we just notice the difference.
As far as contributor and money wise well its hard to compete no matter how many files in a port when approx 80% ends up with the same 10-15% of members. :D

Alignment with buyers is what I would like to see all the sites I contribute concentrate on.  Other than that, just give me transparent sales tracking and non-buggy uploads and I'm good.   Pretty demanding, huh?

Huge drop.  $8-$10 a day. Not $30 to $75.

Sales so slow I just wonder if it's a reporting issue and hopefully not actually a sales issue.
