Sounds like a different thing. If it makes us more money, it's good - if not, it's bad.

I believe it's a good thing as well. We all may benefit from it as SS may attract new buyers.

Its a great deal for SS. Max DLs 35 (7days*5DL) and only 35*$0.3=$10.5 cost. If it attracts new buyers its great for us too. I doubt that we would benefit from multiple uploads of simmilars pictures though because it will be easy to exhaust your daily limit.

I don't know if it will benefit contributors unless they introduce new customers to microstock.  They may just steal customers from other agencies that most of us are at anyway.  I purchase infrequently, and I am the type of customer that would be all over that plan.  I think they would in fact lose money from an infrequent customer like me who would ordinarily buy a minimum required credits which would only be a 2 or 3 full sized photos.  But, it's an incredibly clever strategy.  Hopefully they are not stealing customers from DT where commissions are getting better and better.

Edit.  This doesn't make entire sense, because I was thinking of StockXpert when I wrote it.    And, from my point of view - as a customer, they have such a good database, I think that once my credits run out elsewhere, I'll definitely be shopping at SS.

No, we are not benefiting. The buyers they attract, are the ones currently buying at higher prices at other agencies.

Since most of us have images at "other agencies", we get paid less for each photo sold under the new scheme.

Jon (Oringer) said on SS forums that this is not an option for new buyers, just people who registered as a buyer but never actually bought a subscription plan.

read_my_rights and especially epixx already answered it. It is a good thing for SS (extremely high profit even a buyers is using the downloadlimit to its full extent which i highly doubt) but not for photographers because buyers who before maybe bought 15-25 Pictures by lets say StockXpert because the normal subscription fee was too expensive will buy the mini-subscription at SS --- SS wins photographers loose. I highly doubt there will be any new buyers because of this.
