It isn't working for me.  Uploads either hang or disappear?

And, that is the Java Upload ... haven't even tried FTP.

OOOppps... it worked.   :-[

How is it that some of us can login, and others can't? I can't even load general side. For me, completely dead, as well FTP.

Very few d/l yesterday and today.
Is there some relation with the malfunctioning of the site?

My sales have been wildly erratic for months and this is not the first time this has happened to some but not ALL of our ports.  SS will tell us that these are normal sales patterns.  However based on what has been happening over a long period of time those of us with a brain know they are not being straight with us and that there are major problems with the site that they do not care to fix or worse have not been able to resolve.

Last year I had major problems that lasted months, bugs galore, they finally fixed those and sales picked up.  I could finally count on the stable, consistent sales pattern my port receives when SS functions properly.

This month has been a disaster with days of much higher than normal sales like today and many more days with very low or zero sales. Now SS can blow smoke in my face and claim my images/vectors are stale and not what the customer wants. But I am not buying it for a moment.

I suspect my abnormally high sales today are because a number of people are unplugged today and it will not be long before my port finds itself in the same predicament.

I'm speculating that it has something to do with the use of multiple servers ... there must be multiple servers, I've heard the excuse that servers take time to sync.  The search engine must be switching between servers, thereby leaving some of us with little or no exposure in searches.  The question is ... how often do they switch servers???

Just speculation but it is not baseless speculation.   ;D

And to compound the rotation issue, they have some of us on servers that are not syncing properly.  Missing keywords, missing images, missing thumbnails, zero images in port, sales not updating, missing info in db fields, applications that are not able to pull data out of data fields. I could go on and on.

The bottom line is that while some of us never experience a blip; there are many of us who are left to deal with the aftermath of SS not properly addressing these numerous issues. The playing field is not level here and it is time I quit wasting time and resources on a site that has piles of money in the bank, yet leaves us in the position to lose money on the products we produce to support their growth.

The buyer's side is down for maintenance for the last 10 minutes at least...

I've never seen that at SS  :o

Even worse :  my whole portfolio disappeared for 2 hours ...  After logging in I only had 17 footage clips and no images.  Nice bug!

Just looked in the bug thread and you are not the only one who's images went missing, I wonder how many did not notice.

Both of these bugs were happening before the site went down last Friday and they had to go down for a planned maintenance.  They still have not solved the problem.

While these bugs are a nuisance they normally appear on the contributor side, this time, lately, they bugs seem to manifest on the buyer side as well and its affecting sales. Badly.

There have been problems on the buyer side in the past, but they are becoming numerous and happening more often.

On the provider side they have been numerous and affecting my sales for years, my port has thankfully never gone completely missing as we are seeing with some ports lately.  I am sure it is affecting their sales.  I know my own sales have been significantly down for the last few months and that is why I am watching for these bugs.  It has been my experience that low sales and bugs seem to co-exist.

Hello Beppe Grillo,

Yes, Poncke v2 is correct, in that earnings are reset every month, but only if you have achieved your minimum payout for that month.

When a payment is pending, your gross earnings will be reduced to zero and you will receive an email from Shutterstock on the first business day of the month. If you did not receive this email in your inbox we recommend you check your spam folder. (Note: It is not necessary to request your payouts, as they are made automatically by the 15th day of the following month as long as your minimum payout is reached.)

You will be able to see how your payout breaks down in your payment history after the payment has been processed: http://submit.shutterstock.com/payment_history.mhtml (must be logged in, of course).

All: We are here to help answer your questions so email us directly via [email protected].

I hope this info is helpful.

Sincerely,
Anthony Correia

Repeat bug appearing again.

Unable to reach main site to do a buyers search, when I am able to connect I got search errors.

When I sign on to my submitters account I find that once again my image port contains 0 images.

It would be nice to get an honest update from SS as to why this bug continues to crop up, what they intend to do about it and how long it will take before we can expect the site to function for each and every one of us.

The sales patterns for my port are not normal, I see constant bugs cropping up and I know the resulting poor sales are related to these constant site errors and not the contents of my portfolio.
