This is a lovely English expression describing people who are woefully incompetent (and piss-up is slang for an alcohol-fueled party). Shutterstock appears to be heading for some sort of award for being unable to do anything well any more - sales being a big issue, but knowing when "today" is on the contributor app being another. It used to be one day behind. After the last "fix" it's now two days behind. And that's better somehow??

And now we have the monthly email about my earnings being computed - unedited screen capture of the email. No name, no amount no nothing (except for links to post this nothingburger to facebook, twitter, instagram, etc.

Tossers!

Well seeing as the money just arrived in my Paypal account I didn't even bother to read their bull-sh-it email.

In fact I never do I just delete them :D

These people used to be one of the better agencies now they are just a row of

That's even better then - because you said that I went to check PayPal and my money is there! No email about that (and I didn't get one last month either; just happened to notice the money showed up when logging in to my a/c for something else)

So, kudos to SS for payout being really early (I assume so their staff could enjoy the holiday tomorrow and Friday)

And while I'm typing this I get the email from PayPal about the payout...

I actually had an email from Paypal telling me I received money from Shutterstock
before the SS email arrived telling me that "Your latest payment has been calculated and will be paid out later this month"   ;D.

Yes I looked in the delete bin to see what they wrote  ;D

At least they processed my payment on the same day, which is highly unusual...

Seems I'm late to the party, just wanted to post a similar screenshot.
They're incompetent but at least cordial.

The biggest threat to Shutterstock is not the competition but itself. I suspect there is a very high risk of a catastrophic IT failure. All their boasts about their IT are laughable when they can't even get a standard email right. I also had added to it some nonsense about content being removed which was done years ago.

Seems they may be doing a bit of an IT cleanup...or else are on hols.
No sales reported since yesterday afternoon (possible there are none....but fairly unlikely...I hope) and no mages sent up appearing on the site for submission.....
:(

At least they're one of the few agencies who always pay on time, often earlier than the 15th. I don't care about the email announcement, as long as the money shows up in my PayPal account.

Aw heck, I get my email saying my photos were accepted, seven days after they are already live. The app delivers reports at random, mostly incomplete. And I'm pretty sure that they have cut support in NY and farmed more out to offshore outsourced.

Getting support replies from another contributor does nothing for me. Just adds a level of distance from the real support. I suspect that's just a buffer for thousands of questions like, where do I find my settings?  ;)
