Title: Shutterstock imports Metadata on video, right?
Post by: Sean Locke Photography on September 12, 2019, 14:48
Or am I wrong?  My titles and keywords aren't being imported.

I have always had to manually enter descriptions/keywords with video.

Ouch.  Why do I forget this kind of thing every now and then?  Another plus for Adobe and Pond.  Thanks.

While JPG has EXIF fields for the metadata, no currently popular video format does.

Personally I create a CSV file, and upload all metadata for all video in an upload session as a single file.

I use jbListView plugin in Lightroom to create it in a couple clicks.

Well, Adobe and Pond always read it in, which is probably why I was thinking SS did too.  Ech.  Extra carpal tunnel.

Read it in from what? What tool and video format do you use?

They read them in from the embedded IPTC metadata, just like from photos.
You can add these metadata to video for example via Adobe Bridge (right click on a video and choose "Properties".

Exactly.  I don't understand why people have said it isn't stored anywhere.  It's right there for me to see in Bridge, and Adobe and Pond bring it in just fine.
