Title: Shutterstock moving towards Macro??
Post by: lagereek on November 02, 2011, 01:46
Not really but one begins to wonder. Yesterday, apart from loads of subs, I had 19, sales-on-demand and with the single-sales, etc, its an awsome agency.
This place is just going from strength to strength and with the fading sales-reports from other agencies, its easy to see where buyers like to mingle.

best.

I clicked this, thinking they might of announced something I missed.  What does this have to do with macro?  SS is the most microstock site, they're not selling anything at higher prices, unlike istock.

I'm really pleased with their sales, if they did venture into the macro market, I hope they would do it with a separate site, so the buyers didn't have the confusing mess that we see with istock.  They could just buy Getty, that would be nice :)  I think alamy made a big mistake not separating images that are available on microstock sites.  That made no sense to me.

ummm I like it when I get single image sales etc, but "macro" is a bit of a long bow.

There is nothing about SS that is macro.

If it is a joke you should make it clear from the beginning otherwise people are thinking you just trolling. SS is probably the most micro microsite.
