Hi,

I'm suddenly having photos refused by Shutterstock for: "excessive noise, film grain"
The same images have been accepted everywhere else.

I thought Shutterstock was accepting everything.
Have I missed some news?

Thanks for any info!

okay, more details on your processing-  are you using any noise removal program? Are you using any special effects to include filters like NIK? Use the blur tool at the end...

I just submitted them again the same day.
This time they were approved.

That's what I like to see. . .

What are the chances of mobile phone photos being sold on SS?

Wrong question. The question should be: What are the chances that mobile phone photos will be accepted? And the answer is: There is almost no chance!

I'll admit I haven't submitted many iPhone images (all editorial, fewer than 10, don't feel like counting right now) but they have all been accepted and they've all sold at least once.

I have had several photos shot on my Android Galaxy accepted by Shutterstock.
The photos turned down for 'noise' were shot on my Panasonic GH4.
The same images have been accepted by every other agency.

My initial post was more to do with Shutterstock's overall policy. Not the fact that the images had noise.
I was under the impression that Shutterstock was accepting everything. I must have been mistaken.
