Hey guys,

Anyone else not getting paid yet by SS? Usually I receive it earlier between the 6th and 8th, I know we are not on the 15th yet, but it's the first time since I contributed with them 7 years ago.

Thanks

I got paid on the 6th. Are you sure you reached your payout limit?

I was paid on March 6th as well -  via PayPal. Probably time to contact Shutterstock to ask about this if you haven't received yours

Yes I am sure

Also check that:
- your tax form is up to date;
- you reached your payout limit at the end of previous month, not at beginning of current month; and before any tax witholding (if any).

I also did not get paid up to today March 14th. (first time it happens)
I was told I am not alone and I should be patient and wait.
Well, I am both but that still does not give a specific date of payment.
It would be better if us affected got a clear answer.

I have sent an e-mail to Shutterstock and recieved a fast response from one of the exper user contributors that answered. I had to close the converssation as he could not provide any details apart from what I have already written and returned today with a new question to Shutterstock, asking about an answer including a reason for the delay and a specific date of payment. I am not worried as to if I am paid, I just do not wish the payment be transfered to the next month's cycle for a mistake I do not know and did not make.

Sorry to be a downer, but this is level 1 support. Which in my opinion means (always, not just for Shutterstock) that everything they say has a 50% chance of being right and 50% of being false. The only scope is to avoid giving level 2 support which would cost them money.

I don't understand why ppl start sending emails immideately, when they don't get their money right away. Ridicilous.

Just a fast question to the ones above that rushed to be offensive:
Suppose that you have a small company that sells clothes to a big chain on a high fashion street.
They sell your clothes and you have a written contract they pay you in check 30 days later.
Time passes, you phone the big profitable clothes chain and they say: ok, you will be paid soon!
Would you still have the same response?
Then we could come and tell you: Why are you crying, hush, you will get your money sometime!

Next time, read carefully the posts: No one said he has a fear of not getting paid.
They all just wish to know when and what happened.
So keep the witty comments to your shop and let the others respond in a polite way, as they do!

A few of us mentioned we got paid on the 6th. If it were me, Id be wondering where my money was too, when todays the 14th. Seems like they have always paid everyone at the same time. If they have changed their policy, contributors should know. The OP is asking legitimate questions. Since they do say you will get paid by the 15th, which is tomorrow, if you dont have it tomorrow, for sure start hounding them for a reason. Mograph, did you already get the email from them saying how much your earnings were?

Edited to add that the quote above is not what was originally written. It's interesting that updating the post updates the quote now - it used not to. I think I may stop using the quote feature when rude messages are the topic - it makes a complete nonsense of my comment that editing the rudeness edits the quoting as well.

That's rude and inaccurate - great combination.

I've not had this happen to me, but other people have had payment mistakes from Shutterstock in the past and IMO the OP did exactly the right thing.

Checked his settings; asked if others using the same payment method had already received their payments and contacted SS directly.

There is no reason to even comment here if you have nothing constructive to contribute

Update: I just received an email, cheked on my PayPal account and I can confirm I just got paid by Shutterstock.
At the end, all is good, in accordance to the paid by the 15th promise.
I still just wished we had some info for that in advance.

So they paid on time in accordance with what they said they will do. Why do they need to tell people they will be doing what they said they would? Yes if there was a delay expected and they hadn't told people I can understand it.

Alex from SS made a comment on the SS forum that they had identified a problem and were working to fix it. I got paid shortly after that. I had also contacted SS on the 13th to find out where my payment was - chances are that if contributors hadn't let them know there was a problem ahead of the 15th our payments would have been delayed further.
