I just received the usual e-mail with payout confirmation from SS and the total sum is missing a significant amount (about 30% of my gross earnings, so nothing to do with the tax withholding). Has anything similar happened to anybody.

Seems they are reporting Jan 2012 totals
I'm sure they will sort it out
Already a thread on SS bugs forum

Yep me too.  The amount comes from last January.  I posted on the SS forums about it and sent an email off to support.

It's probably just a glitch so once they know what's going on they'll send out the correct ones.

Though I really would like January 2012s payout :p

Same thing here. Must be a mistake.

Yes, me too. Glad I'm not the only one. I was a little panicked.

Me too. Even if I've sold all my images in the US, and they took me that 10% tax or whatever, it couldn't be such low. Wrote them an email.

OK. I feel a little bit relieved that it's not only me. At least we can hope they will resolve it faster than an individual case.

Same here.  Dang, I wish this thread would have appeared a little earlier.  I feel like a jerk contacting support about it now.  They must be inundated with emails.

They must feel like jerks for making such a huge mistake, so no worries.

Same here :) Just sent them a note, and then saw all the posts on here and elsewhere. I'm sure they'll sort it out soon.

I just went to check my January 2012 total and it's the amount shown in the e-mail they sent out for Jan 2013

As long as the money is right in a week or so, I can cope :)

Very relieved to see this thread, I thought it was just me and sent an email off to support :D

2nd email arrived with right amount. Very impressed with the speed with which the error was corrected.

Phew! I thought there had been a massive surge in US sales

Ja, it also happened to me.

First a payout email with the earnings of January 2012.
Then another with those of 2013.
I sent 2 emails to support.

Thats the kind of unintended mistake that can cause a lot of trouble for a long time.
Unintended.

It is so nice when a Company responds promptly and courteously. Admitting something got mixed up on their end. Not banning people from voicing complaints. Even coming here to explain it.   8)

"Earlier today, you may have received an automated notification of an expected royalty payment. Two emails were sent. The first email mistakenly contains the royalty amount that you received from Shutterstock in January 2012. The second email contains the correct amount for January 2013. The second email contains the amount that you will actually receive.

The royalty payout for January 2013, as reflected in your Earnings Summary, will be paid normally and on schedule."
