I am still waiting for my Dreamstime exclusivity to end but I am uploading on Shutterstock. Bu I have some rejections I want to ask about here since they refer to there forum threads but they are not specific enough.
I had some rejections with the 'copyright' reasons but I really don't understand why so many images are online that have the same issue in my opinion. Are they getting more strict or are there to many different people working there with different opinions?
In any case I am not a die hard complainer but I am noticing that the reviewers at Dreamstime live on another planet than Shutterstock. Dreamstime is very easy to guess what they want and I hardly get images rejected anymore.
These are the images that got rejected for copyright reasons:

I really don't understand this one. It's a page from a bible dating 17th century. If I would upload it again would telling them this bible is over 350 years old make a difference?

They say I need a release for this one. If you search for blue Dutch tile you get many, many similar images with NO releases. How do I get this approved?

The first one I uploaded as editorial. This works on Dreamstime also since I thought the logo looks nice on the car. But they rejected it. But the second image shows that removing the logo does not seem to make a difference. But there are many, many reconcilable car brands were they only removed the logo on Shutterstock. Are they done with this sort of images?

Also... no logo... Just a very old toycar.
Now look at this one and there are many similar on Shutterstock!!!

I just don't get it! ???
Seems they are super strict when it comes to cars but they do seem to approve many that are already on the site. I don't blame them for having there rules and It's not that I am disliking Shutterstock from now on. I got a bit over 50% approved from the batches I uploaded there so I am content with it and my best sellers are already approved but I really want to know how they work and if there is anything I can do to get the cars approved.

SS changed their policy, so your bible shot would have been accepted under the old rules, but no longer [but the other images have been grandmothered in]-- the rejection based on lack of a 300 year old release is just the result of no one bothering to edit the new rules to eliminate such silliness

There is a lot of helpful information on Shutterbuzz as well.
But they have become anal about trademark over at SS. They are removing all cars from their library that have no release. They are anal about cameras as well, even when logos removed.
As soon as you can recognize the design, its needs a property release.
