I just used the new editor when pushing through my uploaded images.

The keywords were picked up and appeared in a gray box.  You are able to type in a new keyword or two under the visible keywords appearing in the gray box.  At first everthing seemed cool.  When I pushed the images forward for review, I was told that all images had errors - I had to enter at least 7 keywords.  All of the keywords appearing in the box had to be retyped or copied from my IPTC section of my files and pasted  under the grayed box.  Apparently the uploaded keyword wer rejected, because the commas were dropped.

Did anyone else have this problem?  How do you get the keywords appearing in the gray box to work or get accepted?

Thanks for any help!

there are (were???) little tick boxes associated with the various fields to be populated - sometimes if these aren't ticked, the data in the field is ignored

I've been using the new content editor, and I'm quite pleased with it.  If you click on the "select all" option, all of the files on your screen will be highlighted, and any changes you make to any of the photos will be made to all of them, including keywords.  When you submit them after editing, assigning model releases, etc., the system checks them for spelling and redundancy.  Those words or word combinations that the programmers have previously decided are redundant are automatically removed.  They could use an update to their dictionary, because it routinely identifies certain keywords as potentially being misspelled.  Those keywords include "headshot," "close-up," and some others that I can't remember right now.  But if you choose not to correct those keywords, you may submit them again and the system will leave them as they are.  When adjusting keywords, you must be aware of whether or not you've selected more than one photo, because if you have, you're making identical changes to all of the selected pictures.  Does that help?  (Now if we could only get the inspectors to think rationally...  :P)

The only thing in the gray box with my uploaded keywords was "Delete X" in red.  Maybe I should have just processed them again.  By clicking on "All", all the images were selected and can be pushed through.

Guess I just didn't realize I only had to do that since I didn't add any keywords.  Only thing is, I was told that there were 10 images with errors.  Only errors I could determine was that none of the key words had a comma after/between them.

Do you folks see commas in the gray box with the keywords?

I understand what you are saying csproductions, and thanks!  Did you have to retype the words or were you able to just push them forward?  BW - Can we edit the keywords in the gray box or do we have to delete a misspelled word, then retype it below?

Aslo thatns for your feedback heywoody!

You'll have to delete the misspelled keyword and type it in, or, in some cases, leave the misspelled on there and put in the correct spelling.  I do that on a few things because I figure if I can misspell that word easily someone else can too.  But that's just me :p

I still have a hard time using it like accidentally checking them all.  Or I want to add the same keyword to all my images and it populates everything from the first image in the batch.  Needs a bit more functionality to it because I've done that constantly and I've caught it so far and have to get out of there without saving anything and go back in to edit that batch.  A bit of a pain and will take me some time to get used to it.

Thanks Anita!  Together with what was previously sted I think I can work with it now.  Changes sometimes takes getting used to.  ;D
